Keto Noodles

I am feeling very bored at the office. That's the nice thing about not having a boss. You are allowed to feel bored. And you are allowed to update your blog. During office hours. Hah!

The other day, I was feeling curious about the new items on La Juiceria's menu (via Grabfood).

This is under their Keto Low-Carb series of Keto Nasi Lemak, Keto Fried Rice, Keto Mee Goreng and Keto Curry Laksa. I chose the Keto Mee Goreng out of curiosity.

I did not add on any protein except for the tempeh (which came with no extra charge).

The noodles are konjac noodles. I was curious what would they be like.

Not bad. They taste just like normal noodles with no strange after-taste. This one reminded me of those thin Pad Thai noodles.

These are real noodles. Got this photo from my whatsapp group.

Chicken chop. From this restaurant.

I don't know where this is and this is the menu.

Seems like a popular place.

My auntie bombarded me with more roses.

Love the color!

A few weeks back, my partner offered to tapau me dinner.

From K Burger, their Luncheon burger. Yes, a slice of luncheon meat with one burger patty.

Of course it was good. I also asked him to get me Kimchi Fries. I was very hungry, you see.

What I did not expect was that it also comes with cheese sauce. If there is anything cheesy that I don't like, its cheese sauce.

So I just mixed everything up and added some sweet chili sauce and that made the taste acceptable.

This is Belle Belle trying to sapu Girl's food.

  1. The noodles make me think of those lovely Thai salad with tang hoon. I would love the noodles and the chicken chop, not so into burgers for my main meals of the day. Aiyor!!! Poor Girl!!! She just watched quietly, so kesian!!!

    1. The noodles are all right, just like regular ones. But konjac rice is not so nice.

  2. Oh dear, my worst nightmare....kimchi & cheese in one box! ;D I can't remember if I've had konjac noodles before. You're right, from the pic, it does look a bit like pad thai...I think the texture is a bit like Korean japchae? ;)

    1. hah..hah..hah... kimchi + cheese = disaster! The konjac noodles are springy and yes, quite similar in texture with Korean japchae.

  3. Konjac noodles are made from konyaku. I don't quite like konyaku jelly because it is quite firm n qq so I think I will stay away from konjac noodles especially when I read that we shouldn't overdose on konjac noodles because it may cause blockage in the intestines. Read that in the news online. People usually eat konjac noodles to get thin. That shop should be in Kajang I guess since the name says Kajang. Aiyo Belle Belle, please don't steal girl's food. Mommy gave you enough to eat already!

  5. All those talk about Keto diet. I don't know much. Lol. But sure not for me

I prefer eating fries like that, without dipping. Don't mind cheese dipping sometime but not too much.
