The Love of My Life Who Meows

Ever since I took in this adorable orange cat into my home and my heart, she has filled my life with joy. I still remember the time when we started to make friends and how she stole my heart.

I admit it was not easy at first. I had a lot of getting used to, sharing my space with a cat, getting used to her moods.

I had to get used to her hogging the sofa too.

And invading my bed.

I have not been paying much attention to my furniture lately until one day when I saw this.

That's one year's worth of scratching. You can see the perp's backside as she walks away coolly from the aftermath. Haiz...

Lately she has abandoned mommy's Marvel slippers in favor of daddy's Ah Kong slippers.

When she is in merajuk mode, she will climb upstairs and sulk right outside my bedroom. On this occasion, as in many other occasions, it was because I refused to let her out.

When she is outside, sometimes she likes to sit on the pile of old newspapers. That was where she used to sleep before I allowed her to stay inside.

A short update on my garden. This Cleome plant grew in one of my flower pots. I was very happy that the seeds from the previous batch had somehow survived and germinated.

My Girl knows how to put up a show and she knows mommy loves these cutesy poses.

That's when I cannot tahan and pick her up for a cuddle, bearing in mind to be cautious because of the bad incident that happened a couple of months ago.

Girl, you bring me joy, you bring me pain - the ear incident aside, I have to spend money on your food, your cat litter, vet fees, kutu treatment, I have to clean the house more often, clear your pee and poop daily (bleakss!!!) and wash your litter box every month.

The things I do for you!

  5. So touching and loving post just for your Girl. She chose the right owner and took her place in your heart and home. The sacrifices you made for her. She abandoned your slippers in favour of daddy's slippers could also means she wants to get close to daddy. Lol!

  7. What a nice dedication to the love of your life who meows! ;) I have one just like that...who meows but also hisses and growls (sometimes at me but mostly at other cats...haha!). Well, your girl certainly deserves it seeing how much joy she brings to your life. The things you're willing to do for her, you'd gladly do over and over again. That is what it means to have a loving pet...and they always know just the right moment to turn on their charm (as well as cute poses) that we can't resist.

    1. I took her in largely because I was inspired by you and Cookie! Every time I read a post on Cookie, I thought to myself, how nice if I had a cat! LOL! I now know what joy Cookie has brought into your life.

  8. ahhh ... if only she knew how much you love her! or maybe she does know, in her own way :) i've always wondered if dogs and cats have strained necks, cos they always have to look up to their humans :D

    1. hah..hah... They are pretty supple, especially cats, so I doubt if they experience strained necks unless if they over exerted themselves.

  12. It's high time you find a son-in-law for your Ah Girl. You will have double happiness everyday with more bills, poop and pee to clean up. Wakakakakaka

My sister is a crazy cat lover and I have been her caretaker.
