CNY Day 2 Lunch @ Krishna Curry House

The day after our lunch at Marta's Kitchen, my mum suggested lunch at Krishna Curry House. Oh yes! Banana leaf rice for me anytime. This is the sort of food that is more to my parents' taste.

Our favorite deep fried crispy bittergourd and a little bit burnt that day.

Our all time favorite is the claypot mutton curry.

Fried chicken for my dad.

My brother's favorite sotong goreng.

Ahh... rice with curry...yum...yum... This lunch was mum's treat. Many thanks Mummy! That was an awesome lunch!

  3. Looks like you've been very busy during CNY (which you should since your parents are in town)...eating your way through Chinese, Spanish and Indian. So, what's next? Western? ;) Certainly not Japanese as I remember you mentioned that your parents don't like Japanese at all.

    2. Haha, where's my prize for guessing correct? Hmmm, your dad's favourite fish & chips must be at that place where the food coaster comes in the form of a wooden fish bone....kekeke! ;)

    3. Sorry, no hadiah hah..hah... That place you mentioned would have been our venue of choice but it being CNY, we knew there would be crowds, so we went elsewhere. Where? To be revealed soon, but it's a place we have been to before.

  8. Even after so many years living in Asia, I still find it enchanting to eat off banana leaf.

    1. As a local, I enjoy it a lot too. Somehow, eating off a plate is just different like at those places where they serve you on a plate that looks like a banana leaf! Or worse, plastic banana leaf >.<

  9. My company's annual lunch for staff before we off for CNY holidays this year was catered by XX Curry House with similar dishes :P The fried bittergourd we had was too salty, but great to go with beer I think, haha!
