Vegetarian

This was on a day when I felt very heavy and bloated after many days of indulging on carb laden food. I couldn't face anymore of thisthis and this. So I decided to go for something light and wholesome (though with some carbs).

Besides, my RM5.00 voucher was expiring the day after. What a waste if I did not utilize it.

The food portions at BMS Organics Cafe is modest, the right portion size we should all be eating. Not the way that I always eat, in heaps and loads. I have to change my ways.

My favorite here is the Vegetarian Nasi Lemak

Look at that. The plate half full.

OK, it looks better like this. It does not taste like regular nasi lemak of course. But it is very tasty to me, especially the sambal.

Usually I prefer plain water but I was feeling indulgent and got me a Natural Apple Pops

It was quite nice, not too sweet, with slices of green apple, kiwi fruit and passion fruit pulp. As I sipped the juice, I fished out the apple slices to eat. It would be such a waste to leave all those fruity bits behind.

Then I took a clean fork and there was a lot of poking, poking business at my table. But I couldn't get everything out.

I came away from this meal feeling satisfied and light.

  1. Yes. Me too. Like Sharon, I am eyeing the keropok. Hehe. A little carbs once a while is ok. Just don't over eat.

  2. Good that you did not let the voucher go to waste. I am also like that - I will always fish out all the fruits inside fruit tea and not let any go to waste. I think I will go back to eating this nasi lemak in BMS because that day the pumpkin rice was not as nice as before. Are you joining BMS as a member to eat free on Monday and Thursday?

    1. I am already a member but have yet to go for the member eat free. There is a catch, must buy something worth at least RM10 and most things there are more than RM10. So I will wait until I have something to buy hah..hah...

  4. half plate full, LOL! I tink they need to adjust on the presentation...either use smaller plate or decorate with more leafy/cucumbers

  5. Their food is very healthy with unique menu that serves different type of meals. Did they give you the green tablets to swallow with hot tea like a BMS cleansing ritual?

Sadly, I still boycott their outlets till today.

    1. No more green tablets, instead I was given a ginger drink that was awfully sweet. Forgot to mention in the post.

Mind telling me why do you boycott them?

  7. I often eat at BMS at the airport. I like their Lei Cha. I noticed last visited that they've just revamped their menu and added some things such as smoothie bowls.

    3. Oh no hah..hah... Just that in case I might find the taste not suited to me and it would be awful to have to finish what I don't like. But many people seem to enjoy this dish, so will give it a go. Never try, never know!
