Ooopss! We Did It Again

It was a Friday and my partner had to go on a trip very early in the morning. So my brother gave me a ride to the office which means come evening - MAKAN!! hee..hee..hee..

We wanted to go to Bonfire but we were too early. Their kitchen fires up at 6:00pm so we headed over to Mr Tuk Tuk which opens the whole day.

Both of us were very hungry and we had these 5 dishes.

Sotong Salad (RM11.80). Very, very spicy, I tell you. But it was good, if only the heat level was toned down it would be better.

We must remember to write a remark for the kitchen to add less chilies if we were to order this again.

The Tom Yam Fried Rice (RM9.81) was the star of the show. This was absolutely delicious. I know my brother wished that we had ordered a plate each. OK, next time hah..hah...

You can find pickled green chilies in their condiment tray (though not every table has this) and I love this with fried rice or noodles.

The Thai Mango Salad (RM9.81) was thankfully not fiery hot. It went very well with the fried rice.

I ordered the Thai Fish Cakes (RM10.80) because I was very impressed when I ate them with the set meal

This time we had the Green Curry Beef (RM13.80). Though the curry was good, it is a dish that is best eaten with plain white rice.

Our thirst quenchers, the Fresh Lime (RM8.80) and ...

... Fresh Watermelon (RM8.80). Between the two, I prefer my brother's Fresh Lime which was very intense.

This time, we were not overly stuffed like the previous visit.  It was just nice, with room for dessert.

BEFORE

AFTER

We did not have dessert at Mr Tuk Tuk but adjourned elsewhere for ice cream.

Baskin Robbins. We shared this Banana Split (RM30.50), my brother's treat.

  1. Ooooo...Thai! Everything looks so good and is so reasonably priced. I'm saving my favourite one here for special days only - way too pricey to drop by on a regular basis.

  2. Mango salad is one of my faves - as long as it's not too hot.

  5. All dishes look delicious! I will try to remember to ask them not to put too spicy in all the dishes that I order next time. Thanks for the warning!

  6. If the sotong salad was too spicy for you (and you being able to eat cili padi without a care), the rest of us have no chance of surviving this...haha! :D OMG, that ice cream is almost half the price of your meal already...luckily, I'm cutting down on sweets this year! ^_* It's great to see you still have such a wonderful bond with your brother still (eating out together, sharing ice cream). Most, as we grow older, tend to lead separate lives (especially so when we have our own families).

  8. Your sibling makan outings always look fun ... especially when both of you have an eager love for food! Some people might stop after the Thai dishes, but I love that you continued with ice cream :D
