The Starling Mall@Damansara Uptown

Ahah! It is open! That's old news actually and for a Damansara Uptown resident, I am slow to catch on. Blame that on my flagging sense of adventure.

So. One day after lunch, I decided to pop in and do some surveying work. heh..heh...

As of yesterday, the concourse looked like this.

 Still work-in-progress.

All decked out for the coming Chinese New Year. Lanterns were up almost all over Uptown.

Ain't it great that there's a mall nearby?

The entrance is nicely decorated.

Ooohhh...what are those up there?

Starlings! Lots of them :)

I also went to test their escalators.

They all worked fine.

Let's see what do we have besides birds.

My auntie's favorite shop.
Yes! Yes!

A place for me to get Japanese stuff.
I can see myself going crazy here.
I'm a sucker for pretty bowls and plates.
I don't think they have my size here.
Great!

Another place I always go crazy at. Coming soon.

Nope. I am not coming here. A promoter approached me a few months ago outside a coffee shop. "Madam madam! Do you exercise?" Haiz....don't lah....

Looks like a posh Chinese restaurant. KIV first.
Korean food!
More Chinese food!

This has got to be my favorite place.

If you go to that Freakshake place, take the escalator down and you will reach Jaya Grocer. What? I did not have any Freakshake, thank you. I was just passing by. ๐Ÿ˜

Most of the shop space are not occupied yet and the mall is still quite sparse. But very soon I believe, the place will be in full swing. And that's motivation to come to work on weekends๐Ÿ˜œ

  3. A coincidence indeed! Mum also blogged about this place today and this is my comment:
Interesting concept. Come to Sibu and go around town in the evening. You will see black clouds - all the birds flying hysterically here and there. People say it is best to go around carrying an umbrella at that time of day.

  4. Both you and Mun are lucky to see so many shops opened with birds flying across.

When I dropped by much earlier, no birds and no shops opened but aircon was blowing full swing. All the dust made me sneeze. Atchooo!

  6. I like the "motivations" you meant! Worth coming by again at a later date when all the shops are opened at Starling... Gosh, I have never been to any other malls besides 1-U for the past year or two... :)

  12. I just went here yesterday! Strong air-cond, got my favourite grocery but 1 thing annoyed me is they put the F&B shops in the electronic information board even though they are still under renovation >_<. This made us went up then discovered that the shop still under reno >_<

    1. MD, this is far from your place right? Kalau tidak, sure you will know hee..hee..

The escalators are energy saving, so bila takde orang dia slow gitu. When you step on it, then dia jalan laju hah..hah...
