It's A Slugfest In My Garden

When it rains and the garden is damp, these creatures thrive and roam freely. Slugs. Ugly things that give me the creeps. And they eat my plants. Them and a snail or two. Look.

They are perfectly capable of creeping up trees and shrubs. This one perched itself comfortably on my hibiscus plant.

This one is finding its way up.

Here's another one.

And there's a pair at the other end of the garden. Tsk!

See that one?

Not even my turmeric plant is spared. These guys are everywhere!

Oh no! Another pest! I've got to go now and take care of it.

    1. I feel guilty to send them off to never never land. So I throw them together with my garden cuttings. Some I throw into the drain in a fit of anger. LOL!

    1. MD, I get very geram when I see them attacking my plants. So I pick them up using my shovel and throw in a plastic bag together with my garden waste. Or sometimes, so angry I campak them into the drain. LOL!

  5. I'm probably ok with Sam the Snail....but those slimy, slithery slugs...no, banish them away to Never-never land! :D By the way, this is the first time you've posted food that I don't eat or enjoy eating...all in the same week (what a coincidence)! >_< That's why you didn't see any comments from me this week for I believe in giving sincere comments and not commenting just for the sake of commenting. Hopefully next week has some that are more my cup of tea? ;) Kekeke! ;D

  8. My! My! That's a huge garden snail. I do find some very small ones, sometimes I throw them across the road - let's see how long they will take to crawl back...without being run over by a car. :D

The homeless ones, I have too - the slugs, looking like snails without shells - I catch them throw them into the drain outside the house. I wonder if they will sink or swim. Hehehehehe!!!!

  15. At one time my garden was full of these snails and geli creatures. I went to the plant nursery for help and bought back a packet of repellents. I sprinkle them on the ground once only and it helps to reduce these creepy crawlies.
