When it rains and the garden is damp, these creatures thrive and roam freely. Slugs. Ugly things that give me the creeps. And they eat my plants. Them and a snail or two. Look.
They are perfectly capable of creeping up trees and shrubs. This one perched itself comfortably on my hibiscus plant.
This one is finding its way up.
Here's another one.
And there's a pair at the other end of the garden. Tsk!
See that one?
Not even my turmeric plant is spared. These guys are everywhere!
Oh no! Another pest! I've got to go now and take care of it.
there are a lot of uninvited pests in your garden. I have got one like a lizard eating the leaves of my plants too in my yard.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get rid of them. They keep coming back :(
Deleterelocate them to a better home or force eviction on them or send them on a one way ticket to pest heaven?
ReplyDeleteI feel guilty to send them off to never never land. So I throw them together with my garden cuttings. Some I throw into the drain in a fit of anger. LOL!
Deletecongrats again! you did 5 posts this week! have a good weekend! prepping for cny?
ReplyDeleteI am looking forwards to the weekend. I've got lots of cleaning to do :(
DeleteUihhhh... so many of them! They are having a gathering in your garden, I guess ^_^ How do you want to get rid of those uninvited pests? Tengok pun ngeri and geli!
ReplyDeleteMD, I get very geram when I see them attacking my plants. So I pick them up using my shovel and throw in a plastic bag together with my garden waste. Or sometimes, so angry I campak them into the drain. LOL!
DeleteI'm probably ok with Sam the Snail....but those slimy, slithery slugs...no, banish them away to Never-never land! :D By the way, this is the first time you've posted food that I don't eat or enjoy eating...all in the same week (what a coincidence)! >_< That's why you didn't see any comments from me this week for I believe in giving sincere comments and not commenting just for the sake of commenting. Hopefully next week has some that are more my cup of tea? ;) Kekeke! ;D
ReplyDeleteThose slugs are awful. Lately I see tiny baby ones. They are breeding!
DeleteAh, don't worry about not commenting on those posts that leave you speechless. LOL! Yup, I know you don't eat cheese/cheesecake and mutton. I might have beef as in steaks coming up soon :)
I hate those pests. They come when it rains. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThere is so many of them and I get so angry when I see my plants destroyed :(
DeleteHey love them and eat them! I heard many foreigners eat garden snails and slugs. So I kind heartedly searched the whole internet for you. Heee Heeee Heeee Please invite me.

Aiyo geli lah! Now I got no appetite to eat dinner. LOL!
DeleteMy! My! That's a huge garden snail. I do find some very small ones, sometimes I throw them across the road - let's see how long they will take to crawl back...without being run over by a car. :D
ReplyDeleteThe homeless ones, I have too - the slugs, looking like snails without shells - I catch them throw them into the drain outside the house. I wonder if they will sink or swim. Hehehehehe!!!!
Oh dear, I do the same thing too - throw in the drain sometimes hah..hah..

ReplyDeletehah..hah...no wonder creatures come to feast!
DeleteThey "love" your garden...
ReplyDeleteBut my garden don't love them :(
DeleteI totally dislike those slugs.. once they get onto my orchids, they always die :(
ReplyDeleteI discovered a few more this morning :(
DeleteI hate those slugs, snails and grasshoppers! They can botak a bushy stem very fast!
ReplyDeleteExactly! The most frustrating is when they eat my seedlings >.<
DeleteOh my..geli the slug tuh. Kalo siput tu, pegang cengkerang then throwvit away, jauh..jauhh gitu, tapi kalo that slug, yaikkss..tengok pun dh naik bulu tengkuk!
ReplyDeleteUntuk slugs, PH pakai shovel dan buang jauh2.
DeleteAt one time my garden was full of these snails and geli creatures. I went to the plant nursery for help and bought back a packet of repellents. I sprinkle them on the ground once only and it helps to reduce these creepy crawlies.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should look for those repellents.
DeleteUh oh! Slugs! I suppose it's a good sign that you have a tasty and healthy garden.
ReplyDeleteI shall take comfort in that :)
DeleteI tak de garden, tulah pasal diaorang jarang mai PH hihi....Selamat!
ReplyDeleteDulu dulu ulat daun tu rajinlah jugak makan pokok bunga (tumbuh sendiri depan rumah hihi). Kejap je diaorang kenduri tau PH. Satu hari dah botak dah pokok tu. La ni dah tak nampak pulak...
Kalau diaorang ke tempat Hainom, kebuluran lah...hah..hah....
DeleteMemang, ulat bulu terer betul. Ada sekali tu, pokok bunga PH habis dia makan dalam satu hari. Sakit hati!
OMG, goose bumps all over my body!
