Curry Mee : Annie 1 vs Damansara Kim

Okie. My partner, having tasted the curry mee at Damansara Kim (Restoran Golden Kim Wah) before trying Annie 1's proclaimed that the one at Damansara Kim is by far more superior.

I did not get a chance to taste it the other time, but opportunity presented itself one day. So.

A cup of hot teh-o first for us both to "wash" away the fats. hah..hah...

Besides the curry mee, We also ordered one char koay teow from Robert to share. As you can tell, we are both big eaters, though we are trying to tone down.

Tadaahh....the curry mee. Loaded with taupok, beancurd skin, curry chicken, potatoes and some long beans.

This is the big portion (ahem!). I did not make any  new  year resolutions this year, so yeah, I can eat whatever I want. Hah!

So, pray tell, Madam. Which curry mee is better? Annie 1 or this one? Well, in all honesty, I prefer Annie 1's curry mee. Taste wise, Annie 1's is more robust.

Another plus point for Annie 1 is that I do not get thirsty and bloated after eating the curry mee (and drinking the broth) unlike what I experienced here.

So, yes, for me it's hand's down Annie 1, anytime.

My recent nom nom at Annie 1,
with hor fun as my choice of noodle.

  1. Yes! I prefer Annie One's curry Mee as the soup has the power taste curry. All their menu are Ipoh styled and kudos.

My eyes popped out at the portion of your meal at one go. You alone ate curry Mee and CKT. I should follow you not to make any New Year resolutions.

  3. I will have to drink a few drums of the teh-o if I were to wash away all my fat! LOL!!!

Not really a fan of curry mee, the richness, all that lemak but will eat once in a while for a change or just to try. Wouldn't mind trying hor fun either but I would rather go for it fried like the char kway teow. I love that!

  8. I haven't tried either of the curry mee that you've mentioned - but if there's anyone's (annie 1's?) instincts about this that I'd trust, you'd be one of them! :D

  16. I love curry mee too. I don't mind if the portion is BIG as I love curry mee so much ^_^ Sometimes, I don't even want to share with my hubby whenever we eat curry mee. Who cares what he'll do next as long as the bowl is all mine ^_^
