Rain Rain Go Away

Does anyone (old enough) remember this children's song that goes "rain rain go away, come again another day, rain rain go away, little Johnny wants to play".

Yesterday it was a case of PH needs to deliver lunch at DJ. Well, fortunately the rain stopped at slightly past 10:00am, so I was able to make the lunch delivery to mum.

This morning as I write this post, it is raining heavily (since yesterday evening). I welcome the rain but sometimes it comes at an inconvenient time.

On my way back from DJ (there was a very light drizzle) I stopped outside this house to snap this lovely rose. Bravo to the resident who is successful in growing roses.

In a box there was another rose plant with four blooms. But they were facing downwards, possibly weighed down by the rain.

What a pity, or else I could have taken a nice photo of the red roses.

This was my recent lunch, pork belly and baby French beans.

I'll be on a lookout for baby French beans when I next visit Jaya Grocer.

This was my recent dinner. My (scrambled) omelette.

Four eggs with minced beef/lamb, luncheon meat (which I found in my pantry LOL!), onions and Jalapeno. I also added a bit of leftover roasted baby potatoes (cold from the fridge).

This made for a very delicious and satisfying dinner.

With just a drizzle of chili sauce. I find that I like Life brand chili sauce, it still tastes good to me unlike some brands which taste like chemicals.

The following are my Auntie's roses.

I find white roses very elegant and beautiful.

Orangey yellow is stunning.

White beauties in a row.

Purple is pretty too.

These yellow ones are gorgeous!

It is still drizzling at my side now
    Yes I remember this song.
When you are walking in the rain, you can sing Singing in the Rain song and be happy๐Ÿ˜ though it is inconvenient to walk in rain
Your scrambled omelette must be delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹
Have a good day and be safe when walking in the drizzle. It is a wet day today ๐ŸŒง️☔

  4. I do remember that song...these days even without rain, there's hardly any sun, so the clothes take forever to dry. Yes, french beans (baby or otherwise) cooked (in the air fryer or pan) until they're blistered and charred is very delicious. I cook them that way too all the time.

  5. Hey, that children's song, my neighbour's cute boy (3 to 4 years old) is still singing this song. And of course I remember this song dear. There are many songs to do with rain, some happy and some sad. Also, can't help when I see cute and handsome boys like theirs, always tempted to do small talk with the little boys and feel like "pinching" their faces lol! Yes, talking about the weather, there is always two sides of the coin in things, can understand, cos some areas have no shelter, just like SG, even though our Government had done it "so well" to build sheltered link ways from Shopping Malls to and from Mass Rapid Transit trains, still there are "loopholes" as certain bus stops, you can't build long shelters. Talking about laundry, our clothes are taking time to dry, what we do is Spin Dry, let it dry indoor, and if still not dry, on the fan, lay them on our Sofa for a while, and finally can keep, muahaha! *Shake head* for some.

Love your homemade food. Ah, I am planning to eat nasi lemak rice set with luncheon meat, long beans and a runny egg (at S$3) from my neighbourhood Food Centre, that will be lunch for tomorrow Thursday.

I like the photos of the flowers too and your appropriate description (both your neighbourhood or your Auntie's ones who is staying in NZL). Your auntie's flowers photos guess they are not recent? The sky looks bright and blue with white clouds.

    1. Cute little children are a delight! Ya, I also want to pinch their chubby cheeks LOL! I hope you enjoyed your nasi lemak. My aunties flowers were from last year and I am late sharing them.

    2. Good morning ๐Ÿ™ ๐ŸŒ„ bright blue sky with white clouds and sun this morning at SG. Not sure about later. Koko nasi lemak stall not opened today which I predicted, it's ok can always have change of plan. So shift my dinner plan forward to lunch and dinner will think about it later. Hee hee. Thanks for replying with regards to your NZL auntie's flowers photos. I hope NZL does not have any extreme climate changes.
