My Sunday Feast

Last Saturday I closed my eating window at 4:00pm.

So from 4:00pm Saturday until 2:00pm Sunday, I was in a fasted state. With every fast there must be a feast!

Pork belly and Brussels Sprout cooked together in the air fryer is very  easy and practical.

I love roasted Brussels Sprouts but they give me gas. LOL!

I cooked an omelette and prepped this mountain of food.

Rice, Brussels Sprouts, roasted potatoes (oohh!), pork belly and kimchi. The portion of rice, Brussels Sprouts and roasted potatoes were small.

The proteins were in larger portions - pork belly and (minced beef/lamb) omelette. I enjoyed my lunch while watching Killing Eve on Netflix. No dinner because this was my OMAD.

Earlier that morning, as my partner and I were leaving Aeon, we saw this adoption drive right in front of Daiso.

Seeing that I love cats, my partner stopped and pushed our trolley to the side.

Auuuwwww ..... my heart melted ........

This Ah Boi look-alike tugged at my heart.

I'm sorry I can't take you home.

How I wish I can adopt them all. Of course it is impossible. Haiz .....

Then I spotted a Meerkat in a little hammock (so cute!) inside a cage. Can Meerkats be kept as pets? I don't think so (and confirmed after googling). So why was it at the adoption drive?

This was yesterday's lunch. That was not half a duck but only a quarter. I was not feeling well and that portion was just nice.

The duck was very fresh, moist and exceptionally tasty. I must have visited at the right time.

  1. Dear friend, the quote speaks volumes! Very true! I love seeing the cat adoption drive!!! The cats are beautiful, I hope they all find good, forever homes. These deserve love and warmth! Your duck meal looks mouthwatering and delicious! Brussels sprouts...oh, yes, those little cabbages can give us gas! They are very tasty and have good fiber. I do love them and cabbage as well! I love all your photos. Thank you so much for sharing, PH! :)

  2. Good morning selamat pagi! The quote is so true! Your partner knows your pattern after all these years and he is so considerate. Regarding your home made mountain of food, so nice to be home and enjoying yourself right? Have a good day ahead! Sleep was good for myself as I only took one cup of caffeine in the morning.

  3. It was indeed a mountain high feast you had...lol! :D Ya, how we wish we can adopt them all...but physically & financially, we can't). I pity that AhBoi lookalike coz black cats are that much more difficult to be adopted (because of you-know-why)...and that's the sad truth. :'(
