I usually enjoy carbs on a Saturday. Because the weekend is a happy day and well, when better to enjoy carbs, right?
I had a heavy job (one that requires super brain power, therefore no carbs) to do at the office. So I better eat early so that I could work right through and not break for lunch.
Beautiful roasted duck. I brought my trusty container along just in case but I finished all the meat!
There was a man sitting at the table in front of mine. When I was paying for my meal, the lady boss asked me if I had seen the man walk out.
No, I did not because I was lost in my thoughts. Apparently, he left without paying for his meal. The lady boss was visibly upset and rightfully so.
Well, these things happen. Maybe the guy was absent minded and genuinely forgot to pay. Hopefully he returned to settle the bill. If it was deliberate, well, that's between him and God.
My Singapore friend, Lotus, spotted a cat with a similar bell-shaped pattern on its face and shared the photo with me.
Lotus 🪷 is such a nice person. Yes, I can clearly see the bell 🔔 shape on the nose. I also hope that the man goes back to pay for his meal, dear friend 🧡
ReplyDeleteYour meals look delicious, wholesome and satisfying. The quotation is beautiful.
Good morning! Maybe the man was in a hurry and forgot to pay for his meal. I was laughing when I saw the SG bell shaped face cat, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope the man return to pay his bill. When I order via hp app while in the shop, I always go to the cashier to ensure and confirm that they have received the payment because sometimes something go wrong with the app and didn't sync with the shop cashier which happened once to me.
ReplyDeleteI guess this man didn't pay using the ordering app also.
Perhaps the boss may want to consider changing to a pay first then serve food model like many eateries. This way no one will forget.
Ah, I see the wobbly soft pudding like eggs in their individual small cups and I can see you downing them one cup by one cup like drinking tequila shots. 😁
