I was very hungry. So before I went to buy mum's lunch, I gave myself permission to eat nasi lemak. LOL!
After my wonderful breakfast, I went to buy mum's lunch.
When I approached, the kittie ran away. I continued walking to Damansara Jaya and delivered mum's lunchbox.
Since it was a bit cloudy and not so hot, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood, near where I used to live.
At this corner I saw this poor potted plant. I thought I was bad. Whoever abandoned this plant was
This is the road behind my brother's house and I used to live in a rented room in one of these houses. I was there for 10 years. Praise the Lord that I now live in my own home.
Anyone recognize this flower? It is locally known as Bunga Tahi Ayam (kay sai hua in Hokkien and translated to English - chicken poop flower LOL!).
Such a pretty flower with an ineligant name! It does not smell pleasant but no it does not smell like chicken poop.
It is a big field, twice the size of the field at my present housing area. I used to be able to run around the outer perimeter of the field (19 rounds) for 1 hour. I was very fit back then. Now, I doubt if I could even complete half a round. LOL!
Good morning very lovely and colourful flowers photos, I like the yellow Marigold the most. Ahhh, nasi lemak, I had it recently. Had a bad dream this morning and not sure what it is trying to tell you. I can still remember the dream vividly but I try to forget about it. Better to forget the dream because it makes you feel afraid and affects your mood. Have an awesome Saturday. Trying very hard to be positive.
ReplyDelete*not sure what it is trying to tell me.
DeleteI have to remember what Linda shared in her blog "To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent upon things being in a certain way, good or bad (Eckhar Tolle). I translate it as "go with the flow, be it good or bad."
DeleteGood evening! I hope you are feeling better. I have had bad dreams that make a deep impression on me too and I felt the effect even after a day or two. In my opinion, our dreams are a manifestation of our subconscious. It doesn't mean than the bad thing that we dreamt about will happen. Like the times in the past when I dreamt that the people I love died. They were alive and well (though my grandparents and my dad are no longer around now) for a long time after my dream. I believe I dreamt that because I love them so much that I could not bear to lose them.
DeleteThank you, thank you so much for comforting me and trying to analyze for me. After reading your comforting words here, I feel much better as that is what I think also. Maybe I have bad dreams because recently I am a bit stress due to work and personal matters, does not really mean it will be bad luck. I also got pray to God in my heart that nothing bad will happen.
DeleteWhat you said, made me recalled that years ago, I also had a bad dream that something bad will happen to me and I will pass on within the next few days. I am well and sound after so many years. So though we should just be a little more cautious in our daily life, we should not be let our bad dreams affect us negatively.
DeleteI have also had dreams of being somewhere (like a mall or in the city) and I can't find my way out or can't get transport to go home. LOL! That must have been some kind of worry/anxiety that made me dream like that. Cheer up and be positive!
DeleteDear friend, great quote! One of your flowers reminds me of a photo that I posted a while back on my blog, one that I took myself, and a few of my followers commented saying the flower was a Bougainvillea. Please look it up on the internet for a visual. Although this may not be the same flower as depicted in one of your photos, it reminds me of the Bougainvillea.
ReplyDeleteYour flower photos are gorgeous, and the kitty is so pretty! How sweet of you to buy lunch for your mother!
I have no idea what your meal was, but it sounds like you really enjoyed it! :)
Sure, will look it up. Nasi lemak is rice cooked in coconut milk and it is served with a sambal which is made of onions, chilies, garlic and shrimp paste and then sauteed until aromatic and seasoned with salt and sugar.
DeleteI hope the 😺🐈 returned to finish the meal. Must be a feral 😺🐈 since is frightened of u.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is feral, not comfortable with humans. I am sure it returned to finish its meal.
DeleteWow! I really tabik 🫡 salute u for living in a rented room for 10 years. 10 years is a long time. That must be after you have graduated with a science degree and work plus study for another 10 years to get your professional certified accountant qualifications to have your successful practice now. 💪👍
ReplyDeleteNo fun living in a room like that. Yup, that was after I graduated and worked+study.
DeleteI often mix up the flowers u shown here with bunga balung ayam since both flowers have the word ayam in their name.
ReplyDeleteAh, Bunga Balung Ayam is Cockscomb.
DeleteAfter eating so many fried chicken leg in nasi lemak, we find that the fried chicken leg served by say yes cafe is the best.
ReplyDeleteThey really should open branches around kl.
I agree that their chicken is very good. Their nasi lemak too, very fragrant. I hope that they open a branch near you!
DeleteJust getting back to the poutine, I mentioned about the French fries and cheese curds, which are sprinkled or placed on top of the fries. For the sauce, you can make your own gravy or use a canned one. The sauce must be hot, and then you spoon it on or pour it over the cheese curds, which will slowly melt onto the fries. It really is delicious and is a very popular dish here in Quebec.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you are so kind to let me know how to make Poutine correctly! I am sure I would enjoy making and eating it!
DeleteLast one, so sorry, I cannot edit my comment. When I say hot for the gravy I am referring to temperature, not as in spicy hot. I just wanted to make this clear because if you make it like this, you will have the original Quebec recipe that is very popular here.
ReplyDeleteAh, got it! Hot temperature and not spicy hot. Thanks for the clarification.
DeleteNasi lemak is one of the best carb meal to indulge in....hah..hah. It was so so good coz (I think) you've missed having it for so long.
ReplyDeleteI agree! An indulgence that I allow myself very infrequently.
DeleteI remember I heard of Bunga Tahi Ayam during my childhood days, but it doesn't look like the ones you shown us. I'm not sure, maybe my memory serves me wrong. :P
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I wonder too but as far as I remember Bunga Tahi Ayam is the one I showed up there.
