Sunday was our usual grocery run. While my partner was going around picking up his fruits and veggies (I was done with chicken wings), I went around looking at more mooncakes.
Even though I don't eat these, I just love looking at them.
There are 3 sets - plain without the flower topping (Set A), combo of two plain and two flowers (Set B) and all four with flowers (Set C).
These are beef trimmings which I cooked using my Dutch oven instead of the air fryer. These are for the whole week.
I was so relaxed eating this while watching a Netflix documentary - In The Name of God : A Holy Betrayal. It made me angry how religion (in this case Christianity) is used to satisfy the lust of an individual. It was sickening.
I find it incredulous that so many were brainwashed and believed that he was the reincarnation of Christ. And those silly women who believed that they were being "blessed" by the Messiah when he violated them. I mean, seriously, run!
Anyway. Today is Tuesday, the actual public holiday - Malaysia Day!
No quote for today but a Poppy look alike to entertain us.

Hi dear friend, thank π you so much for your kind comment on my blog today. I was so happy to see you, and equally as glad to see your post. I had chicken wings for dinner two nights ago but I boiled them and although they were good yours look much better than mine. Your comment about how people were brainwashed into believing someone was Christ reminds me of the Waco, Texas incident decades ago. His followers thought that David Koresh was the Messiah. Cults are very dangerous and it's sad π that people fall for these schemes.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you are familiar with that incident, but it was really bad. Many people including innocent children died.
Thank you so much for watching the videos on my blog today. I don't expect people to watch them all, but I want you to know that I really appreciate that you did.
Most welcome, Linda! Oh, you boil your chicken wings. Well, I have done that too, I made chicken wings soup a while back and yes, they were delicious! Yes, I am familiar with the Waco incident. In fact there is a Netflix documentary on that too which I wanted to watch but forgot. Now that you reminded me, I will tune in. It is sad that religion is used to dupe innocent people and cause so much pain.
DeleteYour pork belly meal looks amazing π I am unfamiliar with kefir. I have seen it in grocery stores but I don't know anything about it. Looking at your photo, it looks like a thick strawberry π milkshake. I love ❤️ strawberry milkshake π The beautiful white cat π does look like your precious Poppy.
ReplyDeleteKefir is something like a yogurt drink except that it needs a culture commonly called kefir grains to make it. A bit troublesome I would say, since we have to strain out the culture before making a new batch. Poppy is Kris' (of EatWhatEatWhere) precious little princess.
DeleteHappy Malaysia Day! At a glance, I thought your chicken wings are curry puffs π
ReplyDeleteCurry puffs? LOL! It's back to work today sobs...sobs...
DeleteGood morning PH! Decades ago, there are people from the Jehovah witness group went house to house to do witnessing. They came to our house and I heard that Jehovah witness is a cult group. You did gardening during the long weekend? Gardening can be very therapeutic looking at all the flowers which bloom for you and you have a sense of satisfaction. Happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! It is raining cats and dogs over here. These cults are very dangerous! Yes, I did gardening and also housekeeping during the holidays.
DeleteI would go for the chicken wings, yums!
ReplyDeleteYums, indeed!
DeleteThat was a long and good weekend for everybody. P/S: That Poppy lookalike meme (same cat but different antics), you don't know how many times I've received it from friends...lol! ;D
ReplyDeletehah..hah... Your friends must be very amused with that Poppy look alike meme and of course they had to send it to you :)
DeleteI saw mooncake in Durian shape, very cute lah!
ReplyDeleteWah... that I have not come across yet!
