I walked into Yitcha Kaw Kaw Kopitiam hoping to have my usual six, ok maybe four, soft boiled eggs.
But upon scrolling the digital menu, nope, no soft boiled eggs were in sight. Dang!
So I ended up with these - two (pre-fried) eggs, roasted pork and Kopi C.
These eggs I believe are pre-fried for their nasi lemak. Not very appealing.
The roasted pork was all right but very pricey at RM12.90 per serving. I should have left and gone somewhere else. But never mind.
On my way to deliver mum's lunch, I spotted this beautiful blood red Hibiscus.
So I quickly stole a snapshot.
Dinner that evening was pork belly.
Nice layering of fat and lean.
I air fried the pork belly at 180C for 14 minutes.
I had some leftover chopped garlic and cili padi with tamari. So I added that as a condiment to my meaty meal.
Good morning! It's ok. Sometimes there are hits and misses. Your pork belly meal looked very delicious. I love pork belly cooked like that. And I so agree with your quote. As usual, as I always say, enjoy, God bless and count your blessings. Have a wonderful day ahead!
ReplyDeleteReally no soft boiled eggs in the hp app on that day? I saw the eggs listed together with the toast under the toast section. Maybe that day no more fresh eggs? Could just confirm with the staff because the hp app may be wrong and just some IT people accidentally deleted the soft boiled eggs entry. Some people no hp so they just ordered by asking the staff to key in their orders.
ReplyDeleteHi dear friend, lovely quote! The pre -fried eggs do not look appealing! The bacon and roast pork do, though! I think what you call pork belly is what we call bacon in North America. Whatever it is called, I do love bacon! And I love roast pork as well! Beautiful flower photos!
