Christmas and Chinese New Year are Coming : What Are You Baking?

It's that time of year again. Christmas will be upon us in about 2 week's time. And next year, Chinese New Year comes early, 25 January 2020. So fast, right?

To those of us who are celebrating, what must we do?

Spring cleaning! heh..heh...heh... Or are you one of those people whose house is always spick and span all year round? Every year, I tell myself - next year I shall do better! No, nothing of that sort happened and I end up cleaning at the last minute.

A few days ago at Jaya Grocer, I saw these.

It's not even Christmas yet and these things are here already to remind us that Chinese New Year is coming.

So, are you going to make ngaku chips and bake cookies? Or are you just going to tapau from the cookie auntie? I don't know about you but next year I might have some time to bake because my mum told me "Chinese New Year no need no cook lah. We eat out".  Yipee! heh..heh...heh....

I might stick to these tried and tested cookies which I think are very nice.

Cornflakes Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cranberry Cornflakes Cookies

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Nestum Chocolate Chip Cookies

Or/And if I am mad enough, I might make these crunchy stuff.

Ngaku Chips

Garlic Peanuts
Or maybe if I get my mojo back, I might try something new. But right now, the order of the day is to clean the house - the list of things to be done/cleaned/washed is endless! Just thinking about it I feel tired 😝

    1. OCD is actually good hee..hee... I used to be quite fastidious about housekeeping. But as the years went by, I am more relaxed.

I hope to get my "semangat" to bake!

    1. More cats? hee..hee... Most people tend to buy the goodies these days. It's too time consuming to bake one's own.

Thinking about endless housecleaning chores makes me feel tired and discourage too. I prefer to hire some trustworthy people to help with house cleaning.Haa haa no need to do all the hard work.Maybe then I can focus on some baking.
