End of the Year Blues


So sien lah. It's almost the end of the year and it is now the school holidays. But no holiday for me. Bah!

Remember the good old days? When we counted the days till school holiday? That was the time to look forwards to reading story/comic books, watching TV and not having to get up early to go to school. I actually hated school. One day I must write about it. Just as well I don't have children. I won't be a good role model. Hah!

Well, those days are over, gladly. 

So. Lunch time. Didn't do food prep and didn't know what to eat.


I dropped by Yin's Sourdough Bakery and Cafe@Damansara Uptown. Been wanting to visit for a long time and now here I am. 


I seldom eat fish and I chose this Just Keto Bowl (RM24.00). Quite nice. I liked the pan fried seabass, quinoa and greens.


It was served with a side of what I believe is chimichurri. But I am afraid I did not like the taste. I preferred my own homemade chimichurri. 


The complimentary lemongrass drink was very strong and unsweetened. Only for those who like lemongrass. I was OK with it.

Since I was feeling very sien, I needed a pick me up. We all do. So I dropped by a pet shop.


Oh! Be still my heart!

It's weird how they sleep in their kitty litter box. I suppose it is more comfortable that the floor of the cage.
Unfortunately the price tag was not as cute. But this little kitty cat made my day ๐Ÿ˜

 Seeing that I am feeling blah and not in the mood, maybe I will take a short break from blogging. We'll see.
Even my cat feels sien.

    Oh dear, I hope my "sien" feelings have not rubbed off on you! >_< British shorthair looks very cute when they're kittens, not so much as adults coz they become pretty rounded and their fur is really dense. Anyway, pedigree cats need to be looked after with greater care with the best (and expensive) food and treatment. Plus, I would not know how to see if it's "authentic"...haha (I've seen prices range from under RM1K to as high as RM4k!). It's like buying a branded bag-lah! :D P/S: They call it blue, I see it as grey...what colour is it to you? When Cookie was a kitten, he too likes to sleep in his litter tray which I thought was rather strange...not to mention dirty...you're literally sitting on your toilet/pee & poop! >.<

      Oh no, not from you hah..hah... I have been feeling like this for a few months already but it will come to pass I am sure (same for you too!). After I read your comment I googled British shorthair and you are right, their faces are so round! Very expensive and maintenance cost is a bomb. Yeah, looks grey to me. But from the internet some look bluish. Don't know if that is real or photoshopped.

    I just noticed that your cat has been ear tipped! Meaning her previous owner has spayed her already so she won't be giving you any grandchildren.

      You think so? I suspected that as I learnt about this ear tipping from Youtube a while back. It's just that her ear tip is not that significant, it could have been bitten off by another cat during a fight or something. But maybe you are right because we have been suspecting she was pregnant (she is quite tubby) and with gestation period just 2 months, no kittens in sight. LOL!

      Usually the vets do not want to sort of "defaced" the cats so the ear tip will be just enough for us humans to notice it.

    Yes, I remember those days when I looked forward to holidays. When working I looked forward to public holidays. We all have our "sien" moments. Thankfully, these moments come and go. Maybe you need a short break or holiday. I actually thought you were going to buy the kitty, then you kitty Girl will not feel so sien.

      That kitty is a high class kitty. Expensive and maintenance will be costly too. So I shall stick to my ordinary kitty. LOL!
