Ah Boi must have smelled the food and was whining outside but she had to wait for the usual chicken + livers later. Girl is indeed the pampered one. Haiz! LOL!
My Lei Cha was served first. We also got our favorite drink, the Jasmine Bayberry with request for less sugar.
The green herbal soup was very aromatic and tasty. I still don't know what is the proper way to eat Lei Cha. I basically mixed the rice with the veggies and ladled the soup over it before eating.
I must say that I enjoyed the Lei Cha very much and if you are a fan of this dish, Ke Ren Lai's version is recommended.
However, I still prefer Judy's Lei Cha but unfortunately Judy's is no longer at Foodies' Nest and their presence at Restoran 1111 was also short-lived.

Lei Cha looks tasty. Supposed to mix everything together including the green broth.
ReplyDeleteGood morning your this post made my day. Looking at Ah Girl's photos made me happy. Ah Girl, Ah, Ah Girl, why you still look so cute even though you were not smiling. The flowers pics looked lovely and colourful. Your meal looked presentable and yummy, especially the Lei Cha. Long weekends are coming! My breakfast this morning was fried bee hoon with cabbages (their cabbages come with one or two pieces 黑木耳 black wood fungus (I love that, ho liao as in hokkien language) and fried fish fillet. I don't eat red meat nowadays. Have a good day ahead. As well as a safe, calm, peaceful and happy day.
ReplyDeleteDear PH, the cat you met has the markings of a cow! Unique! Of course I love cats so to me they are all beautiful! I love your cat as well.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried tofu. I don't know, it looks very unappealing to me, somehow. I know some people like it, but I am still not "tempted" to try it.
Pan fried pork belly does look and sound very good! The green soup looks very tasty! I love split yellow pea or split green pea soup, and this reminds me of them!
Your flower photos are beautiful, dear friend!
If you enjoy lei cha, I believe you enjoy matcha too. I don't so I never eat lei cha...and yes, I think that's the right way of eating it (you mix everything together). A western-style salad with rice is also a weird combo for me. If I'm eating rice, I need stir-fried vegetables...lol! :D P/S: You have 4 cats, that's why you need to be selective who gets Cindy...I only have Poppy...haha!
ReplyDeleteAh girl is the cutest of all cats! I like leicha. Usually i scoop spoonful of the soup onto the rice as gravy😅 and also save some to drink separately so i can taste the herbs without the rice.
