This morning when I fed the girls, Girl was nowhere to be seen. So I called out to her and walked towards the gate to see if she was somewhere nearby.
Then I spotted her at the corner of daddy's car. But she sneaked under the car when I approached. She refused to budge and would not respond to me. She appeared to be withdrawn and I suspected something must be wrong.
A little later, she slowly walked out from under the car and that's when I noticed she had something on the left side of her abdomen. Her fur was matted and it smelled very bad.
Oh dear! My first thought was that it was a badly infected wound. I carried her into the house and attempted to put her into the carrier but she struggled. I had to get my partner to help me and we managed to get her inside.
See that? It looked like a deep gash though I don't seem to see anything resembling blood or dried blood.
The vet examined her and she said based on the smell it might be an infected wound. She said that if there is maggot infestation (I did not see any) the treatment may be more intensive.
She shaved the area and lo and behold, the skin was intact and there was no wound! I was so relieved that Girl was not hurt. The vet said that Girl might have picked up that mess from another cat. So weird.
So I requested for Girl to be bathed and left her there while I went to the office.
The ribs were also good and I loved the sauce. Underneath the ribs were pink pomelo, black fungus, micro greens and cucumbers.
I went for a walk and then went back to the office to clear up some work.
