We sat at this corner and I noticed those circular black cushions. I did not sit on a cushion, preferring my behind to rest on the bench hah..hah...
It was a set that was served with a miso soup and an onsen egg (instead of chawan mushi, I wonder why).

Dear friend, salmon π garlic fried rice π π
ReplyDeleteThe lighting in that eatery is terrible.
hah..hah... it was very dim and I prefer bright lighting.
DeleteHappy chap got Mei to you and your loved ones!
ReplyDeletesalmon shioyaki is the dish for me. Wah, so generous, got 3 big pieces of salmon ππ€€ππ€€ππ€€
Thank you! I enjoyed the salmon shioyaki yum yum!
DeleteThat flower...I can hear Gordon Ramsay saying, "why put something you can't eat on the plate"! :D I wonder if your partner knows some garnishes like edilble flowers can be eaten...lol. Salmon, saba, all I like...maybe the onsen egg with liquid yolk is for you to break over your garlic fried rice to give you a smoother & creamier mouthfeel. ^_~
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I remember Gordon Ramsay saying that! I have seen edible flowers sold at Jaya Grocer. Not sure if my partner is aware that some flowers can be eaten hah..hah... My partner was fearful that the onsen egg might give him tummy troubles but no, it did not!
DeleteHappy belated Chap Goh Meh! Will be on full vegetarian diet with less sugar moving forward. Lol those daisy flowers on the dishes are "calefare" π
ReplyDeleteThank you! Calefare? hah..hah...
