Solo Sau Kong Makan2

Usually before the Chinese New Year, companies have their "sau kong" management and staff gathering for lunch or dinner.

"Sau Kong" is roughly translated as "wrapping up work" before the festivities.

I passed by RT Pastry on my way for my breakfast.

Then I noticed that there is a Hot Yoga/Pilates center on top of U-Mobile.

Ice coffee. I must have coffee.

Now, what is "sau kong" without carbs, right? wahahahaha!!!

Eat protein first to avoid spiking insulin. Especially when breaking a fast.

I ate the toast last.

Then I went next door to tapau chicken rice for mum.

I had another "sau kong" at lunch. Ya, I know. No need to say.

This is from the Red Kettle Chinese New Year menu.

Ah, a Latte. What a cute coffee art.

This is the Giant Mantou Pork Sandwich.

Again eat protein first.  The portion of pork was very generous and tasty. After that enjoy the mantou (and fries), which was very good by the way. Crispy outside and fluffy inside.

After the meal, a nice walk around the block to run off the glucose.

Of course I am not going to eat carbs everyday because I know the consequences.

  5. Wow, sau kong breakfast and lunch...with bread...twice....that was a good celebration I'm sure! :D I don't think I can eat the protein first with the bread left kosong coz it won't taste good on its own. >.<

    1. I get what you mean. Eating them separately is not as good. I did leave some meat behind to be eaten with the bread.
