Stressful Days Again

We can't run away from stress be it work stress or personal stress or whatever.

What we can do to help ourselves is to take a deep breath and then keep calm. React in a calm manner and don't go all bonkers.

Every problem has a solution. You just have to think or reach out for help. You can also pray for guidance.

Well, it has been another challenging few days for me at work. Praise the Lord, I found answers and my client had been patient and understanding.

Which is why I am pasting this quote early in the post LOL!

How true isn't it? There are situations beyond my control and stressing out over it will not make things better. This quote came to me at a very crucial time. God works in mysterious ways!

That day again, I went for breakfast at Yitcha Kaw Kaw Kopitiam. Breakfast will take care of my daytime meal so that when I return to the office (after delivering lunch to mum) I can work without any interruptions.

At the time, dark clouds were hanging over my head. LOL! Well, I can laugh about it now, but at that moment, gosh!

Four soft boiled eggs to nourish me.

Nyums!

Back home (by then the worries had lifted somewhat) I air fried 3 pieces of pork belly.

Cut into bite sizes using my kitchen scissors.

I also reheated a container of chicken soup.

That was my dinner after which I had a shower and wound down for the evening. Thank God I survived the day. Amen.

  1. Hi dear friend, you are absolutely right! We cannot do anything about stress except how we respond or react to it! Yes indeed! Stay calm! I am so glad you survived the day! Here in Montreal we got thunderstorms today; unfortunately, it did nothing to ease the heat and humidity. By 6 p.m. it was still 35. :(
I love chicken soup! Especially chicken rice soup! When I make it myself, I boil some chicken wings...or a chicken leg, use chicken soup base, add onions, garlic, a little black or white pepper, cabbage, zucchini and rice! It is so good!
Your eggs look wonderful, the pork belly looks delicious! Thank you so much for sharing.

  3. Good morning! May God gives you wisdom to know what you can find solutions and what is out of your control. I love food. Food makes me happy. Loving your soft boiled eggs, pork belly slices, chicken soup and kimchi. My stress today is I have to cook at home, do houseworks (today will be the minimal) and WFH. I felt like an octopus πŸ™ sometimes! Thank you for sharing my friend, laugh it out or cry it out if you need to do so. Weather over at SG today is Sunny but counting my blessings, it is a good day for laundry (clothes dry up faster and will have the sun kissed smell.

  4. Sacrificing for others does not mean we have to ignore our needs and our boundaries.

    1. Everyone will go through stress, as long as nobody dies, it's OK. Luckily I am not a doctor. LOL!

  7. Thank you for the quote. I agree with it very much. But the subconscious mind is very hard to control so when I often dream a lot about the things that weigh heavily on my mind when during daytime I can manage it.
Good that you have found a way to manage stress, praying πŸ™ helps.

  8. Hi dear friend, I just noticed that you follow the Yum List's blog. Wow, Monica was a follower and commenter on my old blog years ago when I was at Linda's Peaceful Place. She is such a nice lady. We followed each other's blogs years ago. I was at Linda's Peaceful Place from 2012 to 2017. I lost access to my old blog due to the amount of time that had elapsed...I had no computer for over 7 years. When I started the blog I have now, Linda's Relaxing Lair at the end of March this year I tried my best to find fellow bloggers from my old blog. I was very happy to find Mun...and Monica fron The Yum List. I sent Monica an email because although I had found her blog again I didn't realize I could comment on her blog. Thanks to you having that blog on your side bar I went and was able to comment. Thank you so much. And a huge thanks 😊 for all your visits and kind comments on my blog. I really appreciate it...and you.
