Keong Hee Huat Chye! Sorry for my long silence. Busy lah. I heard from the grapevine that there were people fighting over my cookies last year.
I was so flattered and as they say, flattery get you everywhere. So. I baked.
I decided to invert the chocolate chips because those pointy bits tend to get smushed when packed. In our hot weather, chocolate chips get all melty.
I will be baking some more. If my brother is reading this, yes, your share will come later heh..heh....
Meanwhile in another part of the world, my auntie was making kuih kapit.
It takes some dexterity to remove the hot kuih kapit from the mold and then fold it before it hardens.
This is my dining table today. So blah.
Before I go munch on some cookies, let me wish all my friends and readers who are celebrating, a very Happy and Healthy and Safe Chinese New Year! We can talk about wealth and prosperity next year (hopefully).
I would love some very lemak kueh kapit - we call them kueh sepit here. Personally I prefer these traditional kuihs anytime, none of those trendy ones for me, thank you very much!!!
ReplyDeleteOh! Almost forgot! A Blessed and Happy Year of the Ox to you and your loved ones.
DeleteThank you for your wishes! The same to you and yours.
DeleteWishing you abundance and good health for this new year. Yummy-licious cookies. I would love to munch on the cookies but I didn't buy or make any. Yes, this year is a boring new year for many people. Hopefully, things will be better next new year.

ReplyDeleteKuih Kapit making is definitely time and labour consuming that I would never do! Imagine one piece of Kuih Kapit maybe need 2-3 minutes to make but eating it just need 2-3 seconds. =.="
