Weekend Nasi Lemak

Last Saturday I worked. Bah! LOL!

Early morning I had to look at this face.

Girl! Hungry, ah?

Girl : This ma, asking the obvious.

Girl : Ma, I want Cindy Recipe.

For whatever reasons, Poodie did not want any food. Maybe she had already eaten.

When I got to the office, I went to Say Yes Cafe for a quick bite because I was hungry. Their Kopi C is very much to my liking.

Service here is fast and efficient and I was served in no time.

The Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng was as good as ever. I tapau this for my mum once a week since she loves this nasi lemak too.

After my delicious breakfast, I went for a short walk because this is a carb heavy meal.

I walked past RT Pastry.

The shopfront was decorated with faux sunflowers.

The residential houses facing the outer ring of the shophouses are now converted into commercial premises. There is no way you can live in a house with heavy traffic passing right outside your gate everyday.

This physical rehab center opened recently. So if (God forbid) I suffer another incident of a slipped disc, I don't have to go all the way to Subang Jaya.

The nasi kandar shop is now a gym.

The gym is called chocoZAP. I wonder what's behind the name because when I saw "choco" I immediately assumed it might be a dessert restaurant.

Instead it is a 24 hour fitness gym.

This food truck Breakfast Buddy is still around.

This little corner shop is now Little Caesars Pizza. I can't even remember who occupied this space before this.

My walk took something like 20-25 minutes.

Later I went for a movie. As I was waiting for the movie to start, I saw my brother walk into the hall! So I called him to come sit with me since I bought a twin seat.

The movie - Lee Cronin's The Mummy, was a disappointment. It's just a run of the mill horror/monster movie that relies heavily on special effects and excessive gore.

My brother agreed with me that the movie was not interesting - in fact he dozed off during parts of the movie LOL!

  2. The last quote was what my late dad taught me. Hello girl and Poodie! Girl you are the queen in your mommy's heart. Nah, it's ok to work on a Saturday, able to work means you are still healthy to work and have the money for all the good food and to feed your furkids right? Lovely sunflower 🌻 photos, I love looking at pretty things, who doesn't? Yummy weekend nasi lemak meal. Look at the portion of sambal chili lol.

    1. Your late dad was very wise. You are right, working is very good for us, keeps our brain alive. The sambal portion was generous and the server came to ask me if I wanted some more. LOL!

    1. Cindy Recipe is good and Girl knows how to make her ma give it to her LOL! Well, I don't always get twin seats since it is expensive. I do it when the movie is screened in the BIG hall and even then if I think it will be a good movie (unfortunately that one wasn't). It's more comfy and luxurious hee..hee...

  6. I agree with the last quote, though it may sound like forcing yourself to get thru...which could be depressive. I m with you, working on Sat too!
