Merdeka Day was a bit depressing for me. I haven't felt (severely) depressed in a long time and that familiar feeling came in waves that day.
But worry not as I am all right now. Life is like that, well, for some of us anyway. I was a bit hungry in the morning and had this for breakfast.
Then for lunch it was more bagels hah..hah...
I ordered Japanese cucumbers and two heads of broccoli for my food prep but only one head of broccoli arrived. So I contacted Grab and got a refund.
I got this "Casual Contact" status on Merdeka eve.
This is what the "Casual Contact" status is for the uninitiated.
My brother told me not to be unduly worried as he had that status 2 or 3 times already. It simply means that we were present at a location on a day where a Covid-19 case was detected. We may not even have crossed paths with the person concerned.
I believe my partner and I got flagged when we went grocery shopping (since this is the only common place we visited together). I understand that the chances of getting flagged is quite high when you visit places that have high foot traffic like the shopping malls.
Though I was upset initially, I was comforted when I understood what it actually meant. Though I can go about my daily activities and am not barred from going out, I still choose to stay in (just in case lah).
With this status, I will not be allowed to enter shopping malls and as such, no grocery run this weekend. But it is all right since I can get my supplies via Grabmart.
So I went about doing my food prep. I pan fried chicken thighs instead of roasting them.
