Sorry, Kitchen Tutup

Apologies. No cooking posts. Everyday I makan kat kedai, OK? I have been feeling a bit depressed because of the piles of work and deadlines I have to beat. So what is the best medicine?

Food of course. Actually, I do cook on weekends (as usual) but I did not write up the posts because I wasn't in the right frame of mind.

Sometimes I just feel numb. Zonked out. Like a zombie. So on Sundays, I chill out by watching CSI (after doing my chores of course).

So. I have been eating out and putting on weight but right now, I simply don't care. Eating out is like a form of escapism.

If you are a regular at Annie-1, you know that they have their daily specials. The menu is distributed to the tables just before 12pm. So that Tuesday, I chose meal number 1.

Bittergourd Chicken Rice Set.

It's been a while since I had bittergourd and chicken. I used to eat loads of this at the chap fan stall.

The rice is accompanied by a fried egg and some greens.

I have stopped ordering their Ipoh White Coffee because even though I specify less sweet, it is still too sweet. So my best bet is the Kopi-O, no sugar.

Well, at the rate I go, I will cover all their daily specials hee..hee... It's a nice change from wanton mee and curry laksa.

  1. I am a regular on weekends only and didn't know they have specials menu on weekdays. I am sweet toothed and still drinks their white coffee as where is. Okay la, not too sweet unless you got diabetes. Lol

Take it easy and blog like me when my angin comes only.

  3. RM7.50 is pretty cheap. Well, I had one that was RM9.00 and one RM5.00...but they were not any place fancy, just some coffee shops.

    1. Hello, Puan Hazel! I say, baru jer nampak komen Puan Hazel kat blog Hainom semalam, hari ni sudah datang. Welcome welcome!

School holidays and musim hujan means bebudak 2X lapor. Dulu PH masa sekolah pun takde kerja lain, asyik ngap jer the whole day. WHich explains my size lah. Nanti I go visit your house, OK?

  5. i'm also having a bit of a more stressful week than usual, so i'm in need of comfort food and comfort tv too (though i've actually never watched CSI before!)! some nasi lemak and ice cream and a cocktail all together would be perfect right now :)

    1. Ah, even your job has its fair share of stress, eh? Nasi lemak and cocktail seems an unlikely companion but hey, whatever floats your boat :)

  15. Hi Phong Hong, me too facing the same situation like you after the CNY if you have noticed I was absent for some time. My deadlines are over now and should have more time after Ching Ming. My MIL fell and hurt her back several weeks ago and can't do much, so I have to take over everything. Hope is only temporary.
