Yesterday was labor day. Hari Pekerja. HOLIDAY!!! But it's over now. I am back at work >.<
So how did I spend labor day? Ah....I started my day with preparing breakfast and lunch for my partner. Then I was off gardening. And look what I spotted.
More Bunga Kantan! I felt so blessed.
There are currently 8 flower buds.
And I also found a chilli or two.
After that I started pruning my plants and pulling some weeds. I spent about an hour or two but the garden was still in a mess. This will take some time and I will have to work little by little over the next few weekends. After all, even the good Lord created the world in seven days, so we mere mortals cannot expect to clear the garden in a day or two.
I felt a blister starting to form on my finger. Oh oh. Time to stop. Next up, food prep!
I have given up on chap fan and since I had all the time in the world, I decide to cook 4 days worth of food. I know, some of you will balk at eating food precooked a few days ahead. But I don't have a choice. Time is not on my side.
I started with an omelette. Good for two servings.
Then I made mini meatloaves with bacon.
I also fried some vegetables.
Beansprouts. I have eaten two day old cooked beansprouts and I survived.
French beans. My mum always says that leftover vegetables don't taste good. But it tastes fine to me. Fresh is better of course.
I also fried a small portion of rice because I had leftovers in the fridge.
And I also made some roasted cauliflower with bacon.
This is the first time I am cooking so many items in a day.
That is a whole lot of food isn't it?
The chap fan lady won't be seeing my face for the next few days.
