A new eatery, Bountiful, opened some two weeks ago.
This eatery is along the same row as TM Unifi and located below A Sweat Wellness.
I walked past and decided to walk in to have a look see.
You basically make your way to the food counter and take a tray. At the front are containers of soup of the day.
Then you see the various dishes on display. The bowls of food are submerged in hot water to keep the food warm.
Just point to your choice and the staff will transfer the bowl to your tray. You are really spoilt for choice here.
At the end of the counter are (golden) bowls of rice and you make your payment at the cashier.
Water is free of charge and you help yourself at the water dispenser.
So I visited a few days later for lunch.
I chose three dishes. Yes, I had rice. These type of dishes are best eaten with rice.
I loved this dish of long beans and eggplant. I'm sorry I can't remember the names of the dishes.
This dish of shredded pork had lots of chilies in it. It was very tasty but was on the salty side.
I also liked this dish of steamed egg topped with minced pork.
The portion of food in the bowls might look overly generous but the food is actually sitting in a shallow stainless steel plate housed in a porcelain bowl.
But I assure you that the portion size is adequate. I was very satiated with the three dishes and a bowl of rice.
This is what I would say is "atas" (posh) version of chap fan (mixed rice) served in beautiful bowls.
And enjoyed in a clean and pleasant environment.
With 10% discount, my lunch cost me RM18.00 which is very reasonable.
I will definitely be back.
In fact my partner and I could even have our datenites here hee..hee...
Dear friend, this is new to me...I mean the way the food is presented, but I love the cleanliness and warm ambiance this place offers! And the girl at the cash looks neat and alert! I can see there are booths with benches, this is where I like to sit when I go to a restaurant, rather than a table, I find it more spacious and comfortable. I love rice! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your photos, and I am so glad you mostly enjoyed this except for finding one dish on the salty side.
