Relaxing Sunday

Last Sunday, I told myself, don't  try to over achieve. LOL!

Don't take on too many chores. So I chose to focus on three tasks - cooking a simple lunch and dinner and do a load of laundry.


Ah Boi is my most active kittie. She jumps and climbs here and there. A lot of times when I open my front door in the mornings, Ah Boi is hanging on the grille door at eye level. LOL!

That is why when she was a tiny kitten, I simply assumed that she was a boy.


She has grown into a very sweet girl. If she were human, she would be called a tomboy hah..hah...


This is Ah Boi and her Auntie Girl having a bit of fun. Ever since she was a kitten, she was Auntie Girl's favorite.


There was only one piece of steak left in my freezer so I decided to clear it off. I might order another batch if there is a sale.


I also roasted some Brussel Sprouts, cherry tomatoes and garlic.


I also ate the steak with a serving of sauerkraut.


Veggies made my plate look so pretty.


Dinner was a small portion of rice, pork belly and kimchi. So delicious!

I would like to share a video below and the subject matter is the effect of diet on mental health. I have experienced the effects of dietary intervention in lifting depression. When my depression lifted, it was remarkable. 

Dr Chris Palmer, a Harvard trained board certified psychiatrist, was himself suffering from depression when he unintentionally discovered that a low carb diet/ketogenic diet (he did it to lose weight) helped to put his and (later) his patients' depression in remission.

Good morning, great minds think alike, like you at times when I am feeling unwell and a little tired, I allow myself some relaxation by setting only 3 basic and minimal houseworks which is to sanitize the kitchen and rooms, clearing the kitchen, living hall and rooms of its dust and some basic laundry. I feel happier this way. I had vegetarian fried bee Hoon with πŸ₯¬ cabbages and tofu etc for breakfast. Veggies and tofu are nutritious. I also had my caffeine already. When you are feeling unwell sleep like forever not enough LOL! But still we have to wake up to eat. I took leave to rest and do some praying/chanting. By the way today is Chap Goh.
