Hartton Kitchen. Damansara Uptown

The first time I visited Hartton Kitchen was back in 2020

At the time, they were newly opened with a very simple menu. They have since relocated to another shop lot but within the same row.

When I walked past almost everyday (to go to DJ), I noted that they are rather popular. One day I stopped to check their menu.

1. Brunch

2. Sandwich

3. Main Courses

4. Signature Rice Bowl

5. Rice Bowl

6. Salads

7. Dessert

8. Beverages

The menu has definitely expanded since their first opening. Seeing that they are still in business, I take it that the food must be good for them to garner continued support from their customers.

So I visited one morning before picking up lunch for mum. It was around 10.00am+ when it was quiet. The interior is very cosy and bright which exuded a very positive and comforting feeling.

I had the Hartton Breakfast, their version of a big breakfast.

A very colorful and eye catching plate, don't you agree? The description from the menu - Fluffy+sunny side eggs, turkey ham, hash brown, greens, toasted loaf, baked beans & fruit.

That was exactly what I got on my plate. What I liked :

1. Loved the eggs! The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy while the sunny side up had a runny yolk. Eggs done two ways, I like!

2. The toast was lightly toasted. Crispy outside while retaining a fluffy texture.

3. I have not met a hash brown that I did not like. They were very crispy and tasty.

4. Baked beans - well, I love baked beans so they can do no wrong.

What I was indifferent to :

1. Turkey ham, ho hum, nothing extraordinary.

2. Salad - it needed more dressing.

3. The wedge of mango still had the peel on. It was sweet and juicy.

I would say that this breakfast is a very pretty plate and makes for a lighter version of a big breakfast. Definitely not enough protein for me.

Oh, I almost forgot about the iced latte. I'm afraid it was diluted and the coffee had a harsh bitter taste.

At the end of my meal, I noticed that the plate was chipped. Oh dear. I will come by again to try other items on the menu.

Ah, I noticed this eatery back in June this year but after seeing that it is pork free, we didn't eat there because I know my spouse prefers to eat pork bacons in big breakfast.

  2. This quote is very true, dear friend. Dear PH, I think pork ham or bacon ๐Ÿฅ“ would have been better. Here in Quebec it is a tradition to have baked beans ๐Ÿซ˜ with breakfast, but not every restaurant offers ita. Hash browns are typically served with eggs and a choice of meat...either ham, sausages or bacon. However, a delicatessen, also called a deli for short, will give you an option of smoked meat or corned beef. If it is a Jewish deli, ✡️ they don't serve pork..so you can choose beef fried which is similar to bacon, and sometimes they will offer a deli turkey as an option.
