Well, Auntie Girl has long wised up and did not take the bait.

Come lunch time at the office, I was off to my favorite cafe (again).
I sat near the door and although there is a door closer installed, it doesn't work when the door is opened too wide. Most people don't bother to close the door when they enter/exit. I am a little bit OCD, so I got up to close the door. When I come in or leave, I make sure I close the door.
An air conditioned space will not do well with an open door which will cause the air conditioner to work harder and consume more energy. This is a salient point to the boss but not the employees who are indifferent to cost sensitive things like this.
I came for the Sandwich of the Day - Salmon. I forgot to tell them to toast the bread lightly and ended up with the roof of my mouth a bit sore.

Yes, opening a door or window while air conditioning is on is never a good idea, it can cause it to break down...and as you mentioned, work that much harder. It's either one or the other...open window or door, or air conditioner.

ReplyDeleteAbout open doors, once I got up to close it at an eatery, the staff immediately open it again despite having air conditioning. I think the staff wants to air the eatery.

Ahhh, I wish I could sleep like a log like your sleepy friend. They seem to be enjoying their sleep without any cares whenever I saw these felines just like the ones in my neighbourhood. I had fish for both my lunch and dinner today just like you had Salmon Sandwich. Hope the roof of your mouth is alright. I wasn't feeling quite well today because weather was very unpredictable these few days. It can go like heavy downpour in the morning then after a while scorching hot and sunny. Tak Boleh Tahan!

DeletePerhaps I'm OCD like you too. I really hate it when people choose to go in and out and not close the door, especially if they know the place is air-conditioned. Worse still is if the servers (who are free) also choose not to bother to close the door when they find it ajar.
