Earlier in the day, I did my usual grocery run with my partner. When we got home, I decided that it was time for me to eat steak.
I cooked it the good old fashioned way, with my cast iron pan. I overcooked the steak and did not get the medium rare I was looking for. It has been a while since I cooked steak and I am out of practice!
My Poodie patootie was nicely settled in the donut. If it wasn't raining, don't expect this girl to stay home.
Made with leftover minced beef, jalapenos and shredded cheese. So chill eaten on the sofa watching "The Raincoat Killer" on Netflix (while it was raining cats and dogs outside). I am grateful for such a relaxing Sunday!
The quote is spot on! Your beef looks very good! Perhaps it was overdone because you cooked it on too high heat? Not sure, but I like medium rare as well and I always cook it on a low to medium temperature. Nonetheless, it looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYour cats are absolutely precious and beautiful! Please give them a hug for me. Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend.
I cooked the beef a bit too long, should have shaved off one minute. Sure, I will give my cats a hug on your behalf!
DeleteWas in Batam on Sunday and came back only today. It did not rain in Batam, Indonesia. So tired, going to take a nap at home later. Will BRB later to comment on your cute fur kids. Have a good week ahead!
ReplyDeleteHow nice! I am sure you had a good time in Batam.
DeleteYour steak π₯© looks good although you say it is overdone. My teeth are too weak to eat steaks now. I can only eat beef slices meant for hot pot or shabu shabu.
ReplyDeleteIt rained a bit at my side too.
Both your πΊπ are adorable. Hugs hugs them π too
Poodie enjoys hugs! Ah Boi is a bit resistant. When I hug her, she tends to bite. LOL!
DeleteWow! Poodie & Ah Boi have grown up so well
ReplyDeleteYes, they are teenagers now. LOL!
DeletePoodie looked so "buay song" because she could not go out to jalan jalan, chase and play with birds, scratch granite/rock found on the ground in nearby garden/park. Both Poodie and Ah Boi are so cute. I love your lunch with meat (protein), runny fried eggs (Vitamin D) and Kimchi (good bacteria), though I do not take beef. Both your lunch and dinner looked good although the dinner might be a little too spicy for me. Great to know that you enjoyed your Sunday weekend, I enjoyed my Sunday weekend in Batam too! Oh yes, it rained heavily for a while in SG today.
ReplyDeleteYa, rain means very boring have to stay at home. Sunday was good but this week at work has been challenging (again). I loved the rain. Hoping for more LOL!
DeleteThe steak is overcooked for me too, haha!
