Good Carb Day : Another Sourdough Meal

Adoi! Another episode of sourdough sandwich hee..hee...

I love the Beef Focaccia Sandwich at Halla Holla. When I enjoy something, I am likely to have it again and again until I get sick of it.

But first, my injury early that morning.

A cut on my middle finger. Very painful. What happened?

This is the perpetrator. My naughty Girl. Tsk! I was playing with her and she scratched me. Her claw got into my finger and cut right through.

I know she was just playing and did not mean to hurt me. I have to be careful when playing with her. A cat's claw is as sharp as a knife.

So I had to dress the wound using gauze (so that the wound can breathe) held in place with a micropore.

Ok. Brunch at Halla Holla to soothe my feelings hah..hah...

If you think that the bread was over toasted, you are right. I did complain to inform the cashier when making payment. I paid for my meal using Grab Dine Out Deals and got a  10% discount.

I was extravagant (as usual) and added 1/2 avocado. I cannot do without avocado and this has now become my default order because I simply love! love! avocado.

The bread was so hard (due to over toasting) that I could not cut it using the knife. But it was OK when bitten into - crispy, so I ate using my left hand on account of my injured finger.

Notwithstanding the over toasted focaccia, I found this sandwich delicious and satisfying. I actually don't mind extra crispy bread though this one was a bit too crispy.

After my brunch, I headed to Yu Yiee to get chicken rice for my mum.

Update on my finger.

The following day, the wound was dry and sealed although it still hurt when I put pressure on it. It's good that there was no infection.

These days, if I am not comfortable doing or accepting something (even new client engagement), I have no reservations saying NO! hee..hee... The ability to say NO! is very liberating. YES!!!

  1. Good to hear that your finger is healing well. This Gurl must be more gentle with mommy, ok?
    Have a good day ❤️😊
It is good that you have the freedom to say no if you are not comfortable accepting something 💪
Too crispy bread will cause my gums to feel pain. Just crispy enough is perfect.
Your avocado 🥑 looks so delicious.

  2. I am like you. Eat something I really like until I got sick of it. Lol. So sometimes I tell myself, should try something new. Ouch! But great to hear that your finger is recovering without infection. Was worried about infection. I am still learning the skill to say No without offending the other party. I agree, sometimes we have to exercise judgement and have the ability to say No if saying yes will cause more harm. Not everything someone suggests or says is good and beneficial for us.
