Today is the last day of 2015 and I have neither cake nor dish to end the year with a spectacular bang. But I have cat! Let me tell you my short lived love story. I fell in love with a little kitty cat.
When I arrived at the office one weekend, this cute little thing approached me.
Maybe my feet smelt fishy. |
Look at that. Rubbing itself on my foot and making nice.
All the while meowing away in it's cute little voice.
How could you not fall in love with something that grovels so lovingly at your feet? This kitty cat was so tame and friendly and so adorable. My heart melted.
So I gave it some food. And I realized that it was not easy to capture photos of this cat. My phone camera is too slow and kitty cat refused to sit still. Which explains the blurry shots.
Kitty cat enjoying some food. |
Then it decided it wanted to follow me upstairs.
I'm comin atcha sistah! |
Up up and away! |
Hey! Where ya goin? |
I had to run down so that it doesn't follow me all the way up. Kitty cat wants to play. So did I but I had work to do. Sigh....
Up down, up down, I was sweating away. That was a good workout. Finally, kitty cat got tired of playing with the fat auntie.
Bye Bye! |
The end. That was it. When I came down later in the evening, kitty cat was nowhere to be seen. And kitty cat never came back. I was heart broken :( But nevertheless as Tennyson said, 'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all....
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

DeleteMeowwww! Kitty returns now! Happy New Year Auntie!
ReplyDeleteThere are stray cats every where and often made me feel sorry for them all for having no homes.
The kittens especially tug at my heartstrings. Wish I can take them home but then there's a lot of commitment that I can't fulfill.
DeleteCute kitty!

Happy New Year to you too, Joyce!

DeleteAll kitties are adorable as far as I'm concerned. When I see a cat that's so affectionate, it makes me think that these may be cats that are dumped coz I believe cats born in the "wild" so to speak (ie. not domesticated or offsprings of domesticated cats) are never so affectionate as they're usually afraid of people (having had no contact with one). Even my cat (that I saved) is not so affectionate as he's the offspring of a street cat. Cats like to rub your leg to leave their scent on you. I bumped into one such cat in my neighbourhood market recently. He (or she) rubbed my leg (even my cat doesn't do that), rolled around to amuse me and tried to follow me home (I think they hope we take them in). It saddens me to have to leave such affectionate cats on the streets! :'(
ReplyDeleteMy partner told me the same this as you. Maybe this kitty cat was abandoned. It was so affectionate and I was really taken hah..hah... I wished that I could take it home but I don't think I can cope with a cat in the house.
DeletePhong Hong, the cat comes to visit you? How nice was that.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family. See you in 2016.
Happy New Year, Angeline!
