Two Fridays ago, we went to Luck Farm, Damansara Utama. My partner and I walked from The Starling and crossed over to the restaurant via the Uptown 7 carpark.
We have not been to Luck Farm for a while. This dish is lamb stir fried with green chili. It was so good!
This one is pork. Also really good. All these three dishes we have had before and since these are our favorites, we had it again. Stick to what we know is good.
I almost ordered my own same old same old (the grilled orange chicken) when my partner spotted a new dish - pork belly cooked in black vinegar which was on a laminated side menu. He suggested that I try it. Okie!
I'm afraid I did not like it. The dish was too sweet and the vinegar had a harsh taste. My favorite tofu side dish had a rancid taste. I suspect the kitchen did not change the oil they used for deep frying.
At the cashier counter, I saw Hae Bee Hiam for sale at RM16.90 per bottle. Hmmm... I might pick up a bottle.
Back home, when it came to feeding time, Girl was next door and refused to come home. Look at her, giving me the side eye and all. Haiz!
Anyway, I just ignored the naughty girl. The next morning she was whining outside the front door and we made up hah..hah..hah...

The lamb stir fried looks good, perhaps spicy? My parents would say too 'yit hei' π
ReplyDeleteWe requested for less spicy, so it was quite mild. My mum also would avoid food with chilies like this.
DeleteThe chillies are not π₯π₯΅ hot ?
ReplyDeleteIf hot π₯π₯΅ then I cannot eat. So sad π’
If you request for less spicy, they will reduce the amount of chilies. My partner (who can't tolerate too spicy) was OK with the dishes, no complaints.
DeleteAiyor, this girl, y duwan go home to eat food but next morning, is calling outside your door πΉπΎπΊ
ReplyDeleteThis Girl got angin one hah..hah...
DeleteDear PH, your lamb dish looks delish
ReplyDeleteGirl is so cute.
It was very tasty! Girl is adorable but sometimes she has her moods and gives me attitude. LOL!
DeleteWell. I wouldn't say they're the same dishes though they were the same proteins of lamb, beef and pork.....coz I see they're cooked differently. Some had more chillies, some more onions and some more chives/spring onions...lol! Since you don't mention the actual names of the dishes, I actually wouldn't know what were the dishes you ate....haha! ;D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed "eating" the carbs with your eyes....lol! I may be a dainty eater....but I'm not dainty in size....wuahahahaha! If I ate (the amounts) like you, I'd be obese for sure....but (luckily) I don't have such good appetite. Yeah, of course it'd be ideal to have good drinks with good food but I'm not complaining as it's a good deterrent for me to drink less (I can rely on a healthy Chinese tea....haha). After concentrating on this kopitiam lately to try most of the stalls, I went back to the older shop (that was bustling before) and realised the shop is no longer crowded like last time (looks like everyone has "moved" to the new shop). I was also very surprised at how many hits my post on the coffee shop got (3-4x more than any of the more fancy/expensive restaurants). I guess with everything going up in price, everyone is looking for good but cheap food! ;)
These dishes we ordered them previously on repeat LOL! I am hopeless with the names of the dishes and since we got the same ones, I did not bother to check hah..hah... But you can tell if you look at their menu.
DeleteYou are funny LOL! I think kopitiams will continue to be popular for the price point and variety.
