I stopped visiting because :
1. The chicken portion is small
2. The meat can be dryish especially the breast portion
But still, I went back and gave it another go.
Because I can't remember how their chicken tastes like.
After I placed my order, I made my way to the back of the restaurant to get a bottle of sauce.
While waiting, I saw many people walking in. This outlet is still popular.
Before long my 1/2 chicken and one side was served.
I wished that I could order two legs instead of 1/2 chicken (because I dislike breast). What was good was the smoky flavor. Other than that, the chicken was not as tender and juicy like what I get at home.
So my conclusion is, I will buy Nando's Peri Peri Sauce and cook peri peri chicken at home instead.
Yup, marinate the chicken parts with the sauce overnight. Air fry the next day, baste with extra sauce and at the last 2-3 minutes, add a small pat of butter to the chicken - and I will have a delicious chicken meal.

I welcome the rain, hopefully it will cool down the temperature. And yes, of course homecooked food is the best and your homemade peri peri chicken definitely looks tastier.

DeleteWhich is tastier? Are you asking between leg & breast? Answer to that is obvious. If it's between lemon & herb and garlic....I prefer lemon & herb (my son prefers garlic). I'm ok with eating at Nando's since I only order a quarter chicken and one can get the part of choice. If it's half chicken, then certainly they'll have to give you the breast part. Ya, since you can get the seasoning in a bottle, you can choose to cook them at home with 2 chicken legs instead for a juicier meal.
