So Stale Eh?

Kar Hiong has become boring, no? Oh no, we are not tired of the food, I mean I had nothing new to write about until last week.

So this was the visit two weeks ago. My brother called the shots with the orders.

Of late, my brother has been ordering Chinese tea with request for ice. Nice. I prefer cold drinks.

This is mum's favorite - the Asam Steamed Fish. It was as good as ever.

This is my favorite Signature Pork Rib (M). Sometimes the server will come out and tell us, sorry, no M and we end up having to accept the bigger portion (which is not a problem LOL!).

The meat was fatty and we absolutely enjoyed it. My brother let me have the bone hee...hee....

This Belacan Paku Pakis (L) is another favorite.

Instead of the usual Honey Pepper Abalone Mushroom, my brother ordered the Bitter Gourd Fried with Egg (L). It was very good!

As usual we were very stuffed and very satisfied.

Back in Damansara Uptown, I went to ACE Hardware to just check a few things.

I had a look at these Mason Jars. These Ball Mason Jars are made in the USA. These 32oz/946ml jars are sold at RM193+ for a set of 12 jars.

There is another size 64oz/1.8L sold at RM189+ for a set of 6 jars. These jars are of good quality and would be suitable for making/stpring kefir and fermented vegetables. But I did not buy any since I recycle whatever glass jars that I have at home.

Then I went to look for flower seeds.

Zinnias are very pretty.

I stole a snapshot of a neighbor's flowers. I believe those are Zinnias.

Cosmos are very easy to plant and they are quite pretty. I want to plant flowers over TuTu's final resting place in the garden. That was my partner's suggestion when we buried her.

After paying for the seeds, I went to Jaya Grocer (next door) to buy a bottle of mustard. This would be great with sausages.
