There you go. Chat Hei. Sik Faan Jui Gan Yiu Hoi Sam - I know "sik faan" means eat rice. I don't know the rest. Finally, the restaurant opened.
It was their soft opening. So you can expect some dong-dong chiang dragon dance action in the next few days for their official opening (I think so lah).
They have some interesting desserts.
And as their name suggests, they specialize in claypot dishes.

Since I can't eat any of these (at the moment) I can only show you the menu. Maybe I could eat a dish or two without rice. We'll see.
Good morning! The Chinese (Cantonese) wordings mean, eat rice most important must be happy, if you directly translate it LOL! This post reminded me that I have not had claypot Chicken rice for a long time.

Jui Gan Yiu Hoi Sam - means "most important is to be happy"
So it is " eat rice most important is to be happy"

DeleteYeah, you're right, the dishes here may not be too suitable for you. Usually, with claypot dishes, they're kind of saucy which is best with rice...lol. Something from the menu "tickled" me...the 200% chocolate panna cotta. First of all, it's not the panna cotta we know...they look more like chocolate truffles...lol, and 2, it's not 100% chocolate but 200%...is there chocolate that's more than 100%?...betul kaw kaw ni!....wahahahaha! :D
ReplyDeleteI was very amused that they serve panna cotta and I missed the 200% chocolate (blame that on my poor eyesight). Yeah that is kaw kaw chocolate! LOL!
DeletePrice is quite reasonable, I think you can try on some of the meat dishes in the menu and hopefully they aren't too salty to go without rice.
