Chicken with Coconut Water (Ga ham voi dua tuoi) : AFF Indochina


The color of this dish is so blah. It is all brown and does not look attractive at all. Hence the shredded carrots and spring onion to perk it up a bit. The photo in the cookbook was no better. But one taste and you will proclaim that it is beautiful!

Lemongrass Chicken (Ga xao xa ot) : AFF Indochina


There is an abundance of Basil in my garden and that means it is time to cook Vietnamese dishes! I know I am a little slow to jump on the Indochina bandwagon. There are so many blog events that I want to take part in but time is a constraint. My cooking/baking only takes place during the weekends and there is a limit to what I can do during those two days.

Sicilian Orange Cake : LTU Butter


What is beautiful about the LTU event is that, if you  missed a theme, you can participate in the following one if the cake or dish that you are making uses the next theme ingredient. Take for example this Sicilian Orange Cake. I wanted very much to bake this cake for the Orange theme but I missed it. But now, I can happily hop on the Butter event with this cake.
