I used to wonder why this chocolate cake is called Devil's Food Cake. Why devil? Maybe because they are devilish in the sense they are so sinfully good that they tempt you to eat. Pretty much like how Adam couldn't resist the apple hah..hah...

Grandma's Fried Rice
This is the fried rice that my mum and auntie still rave about up till today. I don't remember grandma cooking this fried rice for me. Maybe it is because it is loaded with chillies.

Grandma's Meatball Soup
When I was a little girl, I always looked forwards to eating my grandma's "Bakwan Thng" (Meatball Soup). There were two things that I enjoyed about this soup.

A No Frills Lunch and Durians!
Sometimes the best meals can be had at the most unglamorous places. This Bak Kut Teh joint somewhere in Sungai Way is one such example.

Peri-Peri Chicken
I am not saying that this Peri-Peri Chicken is the same as the one served at a fast food outlet. But what I will honestly say is that, when I tried their Peri-Peri chicken, I didn't get it. I could not appreciate the flavors. I must have left my taste buds at home.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken
I was craving for some fried chicken. And I wasn't about to go to the famous fried chicken place. Well, there was a carton of buttermilk sitting in the fridge, one week past the best before date. Not wanting to waste such an expensive product, I decided to use the buttermilk (if it was still in good condition) to satisfy my craving. So Buttermilk Fried Chicken it was. Does that sound yum or what?

A Dim Sum Experience
You know, when I was a kid I hated dim sum. I grew up in Kuala Terengganu (a place not known for dim sum obviously) and I used to spend the weekends (Friday) with my cousins. We had art class in the morning and after that my uncle and my late aunt would ferry us to a restaurant somewhere for lunch. Then we proceed to my uncle's house where we kids would settle down and play. Come dinner time, I would pray that it was NOT dim sum.

No More Big Ass.....and An Award!
I wish I could say the same about my behind. But no, that one didn't shrink. Not one bit. Even after the dieting and huffing and puffing in the morning. It must be due to eating too much of these d**n buns. Hmmph!!
