Still Staying Meaty

Yesterday I did not bring lunch to work. So I had to eat out. These days, to stay carnivore, I only have two go-to places which are Twins Signature Roast Duck and Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles.

I could also go to KBN King's Seremban Beef Noodles and order from the side dish menu but it is too expensive. At RM24.90 for the Soup Mix 3 (tendon+sliced beef+stomach) the volume is too little and not filling.

So Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles it was for the Supreme Mixed Soup.

I sipped the soup first so that I can get a photo of the contents - liver, coagulated blood, kidney, intestines, lean meat and stomach. In other words, a bowl of horrors hah..hah...

Back home, my dinner was steak and eggs.

I used the air fryer function simply because I had a batch of beef trimmings I needed to cook for the next day's (today's) lunch. As you can see, I could not get nice searing using the air fryer function. I will try the grill function next time.

I also ate three hard boiled eggs.

Got dessert pulak - full fat plain yogurt topped with two tablespoons of mixed berries kefir.

This was the air fried beef trimmings which was today's lunch.

My mum sent me this photo of my uncle and his cohorts having a feast.

Got budu!

Wah.... so nice! I also see kayciap which unfortunately I can't get it online anymore because the manufacturer closed shop due to low demand.

This morning there was a visitor to my house. This kitty lives in one of the houses in the neighborhood and seems friendly with Kittie Kat. Yesterday, my partner found Kittie Kat's collar (it was nicked off her the day before) and I put it on her again this morning.

I also found Belle Belle making herself very comfortable at my favorite spot.

No wonder lah when I lie down at the sofa last weekend, I can smell Belle Belle. Not that it was an unpleasant smell or anything like that. Now I know why. Haiz!

  1. Your bowl of horrors is scary but I definitely would love to drink its nutritious soup! I only love to eat liver and more livers.

The 3 persons in the photo look the same. They must be siblings enjoying a nice feast. Your mum must be as pretty as you.

I wonder if you do rub talcum powder to your cats to keep them sweet smelling always and easier to wipe them with damp cloths. No need baths! Meow!!

    1. LOL! If I rub talcum powder on my cats, there will be talcum powder all over my house! Somehow they are not smelly even without a bath.

  3. Sometimes I read from online social media that cat rescuers sometimes remove collars from cats and kittens that they met on the road because they are afraid that the collars may get stuck onto some things jutting out and the cats or kittens when struggling to free themselves may cause injuries to themselves. Maybe that is why someone removed the collar from Kittie Kat.

    1. Oh I see... When I first put a collar on Girl, I was initially worried if the collar might get caught on something because she liked to climb the tree in my garden.

    1. hah..hah...some people freak out at the sight and thought of eating innards. The destroyers are Girl and Belle Belle, that's why I dare not buy new sofa. LOL!

  8. Wah, the feast got baked fish (I like)...I spot patin! ;) I'm not sure if I've tasted budu or kayciap (they both look very intense in flavour)...don't think I would like them. The budu looks like fermented belacan mixed with water! >.<

    1. I love baked fish too! I don't think you have tasted those two condiments. Budu is basically fermented fish. Fish sauce is made from it, refined and the solids removed.
