Same Old Pork And Duck

Yesterday (Thursday) it was back to work after the Awal Muharram (Wednesday) public holiday.

The evening of the public holiday, I had a satay craving. I tried to resist but I caved in. So Grabfood it was for my satay fix.

It looks like this is how I eat satay these days. Very practical and convenient.

I was really stuffed (lunch was steak and bacon) and I thought for sure I could skip lunch on Thursday. Mana tau my stomach had other ideas (as usual).

So I headed over to Twins Signature Roast Duck (they still haven't given me VIP status yet wahahahaha!!!) for lunch.

I was debating whether to have the 2-meat or 3-meat combo and I decided not to eat too much. So roast duck and siew yoke it was.

I am addicted to their Kopi C (kosong). But look at the mountain of ice that they piled in my glass. Tsk..tsk..

As usual, that was a very good meal.

On my way back to the office I had to go say hello to my meows.

Hello beautiful!

This is where I can forget my troubles.

Just looking at these kitties make my heart sing.

Come come, don't be shy!

Auuwwww....so cute!

This I believe is the British Shorthair Blue. It has a sad grumpy look. It's the end of the work week. Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Your portion of Siew Yoke looked really nice with thick layer of skin, which I bet was beautifully crunchy, right?

    1. Yes, it was crunchy! Thanks to Kris' tip that if I go early when the siew yoke if freshly roasted, it will be superb. So that is my strategy now LOL!

  3. My crystal ball says this weekend, I will most probably eat this duck meat like Daisy PH 🤣🤣 it would be my first visit and believe I will enjoy a platter with the right glass of iced Kopi C.
After makan, I will not see those kitties in the cages as my weak heart would cry instead of sing. They should be living inside happy homes instead.

    1. LOL! Please blog about the duck if you have the time hee..hee.. Yes, those kitties are very sad . They are expensive kitties, so hopefully people with deep pockets will give them a happy home.

  5. I felt so sad seeing the cats in cage. They all look so depressed. They are cute but with those pitiful eyes staring at you, aduii...That plate of roasted duck and pork would be a great meal for me too!

  7. Wah, your duck and siew yuk platter and iced Cham c really mouth watering. I am opposite from you, you are happy looking at them but I am like nuxv, I am sad because they are specially breed to be a pet and yet still waiting for their family to bring them home and many people are adviced not to buy pets but to adopt stray street cats so really a sad situation.

    1. I agree. I remember reading in the newspaper that the government wants to ban pet shops from selling cats and dogs to encourage people to adopt from the animal shelters.

  8. Some of the other kittens, other than the British Shorthair look like normal, domestic cats (except they have what we call "nicer colours"), you mean they're "atas" expensive cats too? I, too, can't visit this happy place as I'd feel sorry for them and want to take them home.

    1. These are atas cats sold at the ordinary pet shops. I also feel sorry for the kitties. I too wish that I could take them home!
