After my first bake using zucchini, I was happy enough with the cake to try more. I was searching online when I came across Paula Deen's Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread. You can't go wrong with chocolate chips, can you? Besides, I had already bought three zucchinis last week and I might as well go ahead.

Zucchini Bread
I had one more zucchini left in the fridge after making zoodles and it was getting a little bit soft. And then I remembered that I bookmarked Cheah's Zucchini Bread recipe. I was quite intrigued that zucchini could be used in cakes and I was curious. After all if carrots can be baked into carrot cakes why not a zucchini be baked into a zucchini bread?

Japanese Sesame Salad Dressing
This salad dressing posted by Jessie got me very excited. I love Japanese style salad dressing and this recipe is a God send. Jessie's Sesame Salad Dressing, a recipe shared by her Japanese friend, is truly fantabulous and I love it a lot and a lot and a lot!

Chocolate Lemongrass Cheesecake
I would like to start by coming upfront to say that I was not happy with this cheesecake. When I saw the recipe, the thought of mixing chocolate with lemongrass sounded really weird (and proven to be so, to me at least) . I could not accept the idea but a search on Google proved to me that there is such a thing as Chocolate and Lemongrass Mousse, Lemongrass Infused Chocolate Truffles and Lemongrass Dark Chocolate. Even with the existence of such recipes/products, I was still unconvinced but I was prepared to take a risk. This coming from someone who doesn't even like chocolate with mint. At stake was 625g of cream cheese and 12 stalks of lemongrass. What was I thinking?

Zebra Cake
I baked this Zebra Cake last Saturday, a day before the water rationing began in my neighborhood. Before leaving for work, I laid out my arsenal of baking tools on the dining table. The flour, sugar and cacao powder were all weighed and kept in containers. I also lined my baking pan in advance so that when I got home I could immediately spring into action. How's that for efficiency?

Roasted Chicken with Bittergourd
The water shortage crisis in the Klang Valley has made its presence felt in my neighborhood. We started water rationing last Sunday. I got the news on Saturday and was quite disturbed. I know many folks in Selangor have been without water for weeks and I counted myself lucky as I had been enjoying regular supply until now.
