Then I remembered that I have not visited Rice & Pot Empire for quite some time. So why not?
Without further ado, this is my usual order, the Ultimate Pork Indulgence. Since it was carb day, I added mi xian but requested for only 1/2 portion.
As usual, I removed some of the contents onto a side plate to cool down. I left the sliced pork belly in the broth because they cool down faster and are easier to eat.
This fried pork patty (also very delicious) is part of the Ultimate Pork Indulgence.
The tomato pork bone broth was very very good. Thick and so flavorful - good balance of (slightly) sweet, salty and sour.
I was very pleased. I also enjoyed the dumplings to the max. I used the Grab dine out deals to get a 15% discount.
I must eat this again!
At The Starling, I was tempted. Or rather, I was curious. Blame that on euphoric recall.

The Mini Ice Cream Pancake. I chose Pralines & Cream and Peanut Butter Chocolate. The two scoops of ice cream were so tiny (mini as the name suggests) and I felt like I couldn't taste the ice cream.
Not worth it (RM9.90) because I was indifferent towards the ice cream and fixings. So a done conclusion - I don't enjoy ice cream as much as I used to. No need to eat already.
Ah Boi was playing dead after following me to the front door when I came home.
Then she suddenly sprung up for whatever reason.
She settled down after I chided her for scaring me. LOL!
This Ultimate Pork Indulgence definitely suits me cos I am a pork person and I like the tomato broth which must be very hoi-wai. Hong nom nom nom! Maybe the mini ice cream pancake will suit me, who knows? Plus I love mini size, easy to eat in a mouthful and won't get messy. Can see that you do had a fun day with Ah Boi.

DeleteAh, I always forget to use grab dine in deals ah, just too many good food to eat in uptown. I have earmarked so many eateries to try on my next visit. That day I went to 5 eateries in 5 hours and was very full π

DeleteThe fried pork patty looks delicious! I eat noodles occasionally, like spaghettini...the noodles are thinner than spaghetti. I also love angel hair pasta. Your cat is absolutely adorable! I had a few black cats in my life...one male and two females over the years, and they had such a sweet personality! Intelligent, too. :)
ReplyDeleteCats are adorable and they can be entertaining too and capable of giving me a few chuckles with their antics. I am familiar with angel hair pasta, they are so fine and quicker to cook.

DeleteMy homemade tomato soup is watery and not as thick as those offered in the restaurant. :(
ReplyDeleteI suspect it was the finishing pot of soup, that's why it ended up thick (lots of tomatoes). I was there past lunch time.
