Every now and then when I see stuff on the supermarket shelves, I am tempted to buy what I see.
Case in point, this recent purchase of Nando's Honey & Soy Peri-Peri Sauce.
I mean, honey and soy is a nice combination. I used to make marinades with honey and soy sauce.
Last Sunday, I air fried two deboned chicken legs (marinated with the sauce the day before) for lunch.
Oh ya, I also roasted a small head of broccoli. As you can see, I placed the chicken chop on a wire rack and placed the rack on top of a tray of broccoli florets (and garlic cloves).
I realized I forgot to snap a pic of the tray of broccoli, so I removed the tray and took this photo (hence the droplets of sauce on the veggies).
This was how the chicken legs turned out.
The broccoli under the chicken chops needed a bit more cooking, so I removed the chicken and then continued to air fry the veggies for a little bit more.
The broccoli was very crispy.
I cut the chicken into cubes and put it all together with the broccoli. With benefit of hindsight I should have drizzled some of the Honey & Soy sauce on the chicken.
Oh, I also added three hardboiled duck eggs. That was my OMAD for Sunday eaten in the early afternoon.
Meanwhile it was raining so all my girls were at home. Ah Boi was at her favorite spot.
Does Girl look slim? Well, it must be the camera angle because she is still a fatty bom bom.
Poodie was having a grooming session with her mama. It was very good relaxing Sunday.
Wow! A very delicious Sunday Omad! Your air fryer is so useful that you can air fry broccoli π₯¦ n meat together.
ReplyDeleteYes, so worth it that I bought this air fryer. It is very well used.
DeleteAh, so heart warming to see all your 4 πΊπ at home relaxing especially ah boi who looks so syiok sitting high up on the rattan basket π§Ί π»π»π»π»
ReplyDeleteBecause of the rain, they had no choice. Or else they would all run out to play.
DeleteKilling two birds with one stone...cooking the chicken on top and broccoli at the bottom. Usually the broccoli cooks faster than the chicken (through my experience) but because your chicken was on top, I think it covered the air flow, so you had to cook it for longer (my son loves charred broccoli like that). Like you, I like all-in-one bottle seasonings where you just need to use one to season. I'm still using the Montreal chicken seasoning you once showed us.
ReplyDeleteThat's makes everything quick and simple and I love it. Besides, the drippings from the meat flavors the veggies underneath. I'm glad you like the Montreal seasoning.
DeleteAhhhh, got protein (chicken legs), Vitamin D (hard boiled eggs) and Vitamin C (veggies), a well balanced meal. Broccoli, one of my fav veggies. A good Sunday spent at home cooking, eating, blogging and having a meow-some time with your furkids. Nando's ! I missed my meal at Nando's restaurant this year. Their price considered very reasonable.
ReplyDeleteWah... my meal is so nutritious hee..hee... It was a good Sunday and I hope to have another one this Sunday! I must go back to Nando's and eat. Haven't been there for a while too.
DeleteUpdate! Weather in SG is like scorching hot, then heavy rain, then rain stop back to sunny and after a while rain again. Goodness! Weather so unpredictable, I guess is the same in M'sia.
ReplyDeleteYesterday it was also scorching hot here! I was sweating and feeling very fatigued after dropping off my mum's lunch. Really can faint!
DeleteMy question of the day: "Are there babies who were born laughing?" LOL ! I google and I can't find!
ReplyDeleteLOL! What a question you asked hah..hah... Ya, I doubt there is a laughing baby when they enter the world.
DeleteMy air fryer is not as deep to put 2-tier of food like you. :(
ReplyDeleteOh is it? I'm glad mine is deep and big enough. My old one was really small.
