I returned to Luck Farm, Damansara Utama, to try other dishes on the menu. Since I always lunch alone, I can only order one dish (plus a side) at a time.
This visit, I ordered a Lamb Skewer. I had this when I dined with my partner but since there was so much food then (hah..hah...) I could not appreciate the taste of the lamb skewers as much.
The seasoning was similar to the one used on the Pork Skewer that I had on my first visit. But this seasoning worked much better with lamb and I thought it was outstanding. I also liked that there were fats along with lean meat.
This dish had sliced tender beef, red/green chilies, onions, celery/coriander stems (which gave off an appetizing aroma) and cili padi.
It was mildly spicy hot (from the cili padi) and in terms of taste, it is not as flavorful as stir fried beef that I have eaten elsewhere (local Chinese style obviously). But I am fine with that, it's just different.
Again, I had rice because the beef dish is not suitable eaten on its own. After all, it was carb day.
As I ate, I fished out most of the cili padi because I know I cannot handle so many. Already I was feeling the heat and I don't need my mouth burning ... cannot tahan!
I reckon the restaurant will be busy later when the lunch crowd comes out and later in the evening at dinner.
Good morning! Adoi so busy until I forgot mother's day is second Sunday of the month not first Sunday.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Oh, I forgot about mother's day. My family we don't celebrate because my mother said, everyday is mother's day. LOL!
DeleteTrue true.
DeleteAhhhh good that you like luck farm and their dishes. And chili padi πΆ️ π₯ I remember my ex-colleague Uncle Sam used to call me chili padi lol ! I wonder how he is now. I missed working with him as a team. And there was uncle Jamal too. Those were the nice old days! Is that your OMAD?
ReplyDeleteNo, I had dinner at home LOL! Yes, some ex-colleagues make an impression and we miss them.
DeleteOn my next visit to uptown, I am definitely trying this lamb skewers although my spouse doesn't eat lamb due to lamb taste that he doesn't like so I will bring my container to take some home if I can't finish them. Thanks for the review π π
ReplyDeleteHope you get to eat the skewers!
DeleteSo much chili padi, I think I can't handle the spiciness. ~>_<~
ReplyDeleteThat's why I carefully picked them out, I was scared of kena "burnt" LOL!
DeleteThat dish look spicy (probably too spicy for me), saucy...and delicious to be eaten with a bowl of rice to take advantage of all that lovely sauce.
ReplyDeleteNext time when I eat this dish, I'll put my rice into the stone plate (after removing the excess cili padi) and stir up everything hah..hah...
