Yesterday was the 15th day of Chinese New Year, Chap Goh Meh. My partner warned me. It was a bad day.
The Blood Moon it seems. Be careful when you are out and about. Be aware of your environment to stay out of danger. My lahling had been listening to prophecies on Youtube.
After dropping her meal, I left the house. Perfect timing or what? The garbage collection truck was right outside. So I took a detour.
Blood Moon or not, I was happy I saw so many pretty flowers. And yes, I did stay alert and careful and nothing bad happened.
I got home later than usual and I was hungry. I needed something quick, not going to do any cooking at that hour.
And a good dose of bacteria (kefir). And that's it to wrap up the evening. It rained cats and dogs and no Blood Moon was in sight. And no fire crackers either.
I went to bed safe and sound. Amen!

Wow, your mom still has a very good appetite...two packets of sandwiches for lunch? I can only eat one packet in one go. Ah, I see your little indiscretion...in bakwa and mandarins...it's Chap Goh Mei, after all...enjoy, hehehe! ;) What is that white white stuff on your bakwa...fatty pork or the fats have congealed?
