The pandemic in 2020 was a terrible experience but it brought about changes, among which is web based seminars also known as webinars.
I am sure there were webinars pre-pandemic but it was not as common as all trainings I attended were all physical seminars. Well, with webinars I need not travel all the way to KL and I can attend in the comfort of my office.
But what I missed were the buffet lunches hah..hah...
I had a webinar to attend this week and bringing food is more practical or else I would have to rush out to have lunch and come back (within one hour).
Due to the webinar, I went out early (7.30 am) to buy nasi lemak and newspaper for mum.
They do not usually do well in the lowlands and in such heat. There are beautiful roses growing in Cameron Highlands. I haven't been there in ages!
I saw the roses a few days ago but could not take good photos due to over exposure because of the bright sunlight.
I got back to the office just before 8.30 am all sweaty and stinky (hah..hah...) and ate some beef trimmings before the webinar started at 9.00 am.

Dear friend, I so enjoy the illustrations and quotations at the end of your posts. I so enjoy your photos and the information you share!
ReplyDeleteI have never attended a webinar, but many years ago (perhaps 20?) I did participate in a prayer session in a chatroom. That is about it. LOL!
Your beef trimmings look so tasty!
I am glad you enjoyed, Linda! These days I am reluctant to attend physical seminars in spite of the promise of a buffet LOL!
DeleteBefore the pandemic started, I was already working from home.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Now WFH is more common but I still prefer to go to the office.
DeleteYou are a good daughter PH. I can see that your mom is eating well (appetite is good) and her hobby is reading the newspapers. Your brother is staying together with your mom? There are different ways we are filial to our parents, for me I paid for all the household bills so that my mom does not need to worry about that since she is already retired.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear and so are you!
DeleteOh ya, talking about physical work events, seminars, meetings, sometimes me and my colleagues were more interested in the food then the work itself lol π π Those were during my media and advertising days. Fond memories.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, the food was the attraction LOLOL!!!! It must have been exciting being in media and advertising. Those fields are not for me. I prefer boring hah..hah...
DeleteI love the quote at the end which you shared trying to encourage and uplift your blogger friends, but in reality being a human we have all kinds of emotion, not only joy, anger, saddness, happiness but also fear, anxiety and jealousy.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteHi Lotus, I saw your comment on a previous post that our dear friend PH did about the search box on this blog.
ReplyDeleteIf you are using your cellphone it doesn't show, but if you scroll down on this blog or any other Blogger blog, you will see a link that reads "view web version" If you click on this link you will then be able to see the search box. π Hope this helps.
Yes, Linda. I tried and I got it. Thanks so much!
DeleteYou are very welcome, dear friend π§‘
DeleteLinda : I didn't even notice that link and I learnt something too!
DeleteDear PH, I am so glad π I was able to help.
DeleteI think I would absolutely enjoy eating the minced beef omelette that you made. π
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Friday π
hah..hah... I am sure you would. I had a very productive Friday, thanks!
DeleteI wonder how the resident take care of the roses for them to thrive in hot weather. What is the secret? π€
ReplyDeleteI think they were conscientious in watering and giving the rose plant fertilizers.
DeleteYes, your minced beef omelette is indeed "famous"...lol! And yes, with any kind of training, seminars & conferences, we always look forward to lunch and the tea breaks...wuahahahaha! Listening to the talks/training was ok (though boring) but what I disliked the most was the interaction (and making small talk) with the other participants.
ReplyDeleteHey, PH, I just noticed you've changed your header to PH the Meat Lover...and not the Carnivore (since you're not a practising carnivore anymore, I guess, at least not fully! ;D
