Am I not bored of eggs yet?
Apparently not. Now, where else can I eat soft boiled eggs?
Ah! At Say Yes Cafe!
The experience here was a bit different.
I ordered two sets of soft boiled eggs (2 eggs per set) and was presented with these two metal mugs. They housed two eggs each, immersed in hot water.
With a timer set to 9.00 minutes.
So I waited while enjoying my iced Kopi C (no sugar).
When the timer beeped, I removed the eggs from the containers. Of course the eggs were hot and tricky to handle. Not a great way to serve these eggs, in my opinion.
But I managed and in the process broke two egg yolks.
Again, I did not add any soy sauce or pepper to my eggs. That was (again) a very good breakfast!
Dr Mandell whose quotes I like to share has achieved 10 million subscribers on YouTube. Good for him!
Your eggs look scrumptious ๐ I am very happy ๐ for Dr. Mandell.
ReplyDeleteMe too! He is a wise man.
DeleteGood morning! ๐ ๐ You can use the spoon to take out and lift up the eggs, that's what I do. Can ask for a bigger spoon if the spoon is too small. Ahhhh, got timer, good, so we can enjoy and have peace of mind while waiting.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Lifting the eggs out is no problem. It is holding the very hot egg and trying to break it into the bowl. Ouch! LOL!
Deletewow ...rare betul style boiling ...i tergoda kopi ais ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteKopi ais is the best!
DeleteWah, the eggs look like pudding, so easy to eat, slurp slurp slurp and down they slip into your tummy through your throat. U didn't eat their fried chicken ๐? One of the better fried chicken ๐๐
ReplyDeleteIt was too early for me to eat fried chicken. Maybe on one of my lunch trips I'll get it.
DeleteI say "YES" to eggs too....this is one food I never tire of. You're lucky to be given a timer (unfortunately, that's how most coffee shops serve their eggs, they pass the responsibility of getting the eggs done perfectly to the customer so that you can't complain that they're overdone...lol). In most coffee shops, they just bring you the eggs and tell you how many minutes. I must say 9 min is a pretty long time, usually it's 6 or 7. For me soy & pepper is a must! ;)
ReplyDeleteAh I see. This was my first time being served like that and I thought, how odd. LOL! I wonder if there is any incidence of customers pinching their timer hah..hah...
DeleteFor soft boiled egg, I will put soy sauce + a lot of pepper!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is the best!
