Bad Carb Day : Cheesy Baked

I went to Duo Kopi, Damansara Uptown again to try the Cheezy Chicken Chop Baked Rice.

I went late, after 2.00pm to avoid the lunch crowd.

Since this cafe is still very new, you will find them jam packed at peak hour.

The Cheezy Chicken Chop Baked Rice looked rather good in the photo.

But not in real life. Yes, I know. Never trust photos.

Just like photogenic people. They don't look as good in person. I would rather look lousy in photos hah..hah...

Digging in I found rice, generous chunks of chicken and frozen veggies (carrots and peas) which I dislike. There was a hint of curry flavor which was strange but mildly pleasant.

But it needed a little something. That's when I had to call in reinforcements.

Chili sauce hah..hah...

And then I had to request for another serving of chili sauce. Haiz!

My latte was served as I was tucking into the meal. Nice coffee art.

The cup was overfilled and the coffee spilled onto the saucer. Although the coffee felt a little diluted, it still tasted quite decent. Not as good as the iced latte that I had on an earlier visit.

I'll have to say that the Cheezy Baked Chicken Chop Rice did not satisfy my expectations but on the positive side, the portion of chicken in the bake was generous.

Shall I return to try the Hainanese Chicken Chop Rice? We'll see.

Since today is Friday, something lighthearted for us cat lovers.

  2. Yes, I don't trust photos too, there are girls who look very demure, gentle with a beautiful smile but in real life, they look ugly, can be very violent and they suck too. This I agree 200% with you. Same for men, photos look very handsome, dashing but in real life they are bad tempered.

  4. Good morning it was raining cats and dogs this morning over at SG so all the cats cannot go out to jalan jalan, the last cat poster is sooooo cute! Thanks for sharing. If I own a cat, I will name it "wisdom" (first choice), then "Harry" like your ah boi (a girl with a boy's name) and last but not least "ah bui" which means fatty BOM BOM in hokkien. Meow 😻😺🐈

  5. Ah, today I am late and miss your reply window.
It has been a long time since I eat any cheesy baked dishes.
The cheesy baked dishes in starling food court is much better, is it? I have yet to try but it is still in my to eat list.
