Because I absolutely love eggs! They are nutritious and delicious. And please, don't believe all that cholesterol nonsense about eggs.
So I was at my favorite cafe, Halla Holla, Damansara Jaya. When I was checking the menu, I saw these.
And another two new items - Choco Banana Blueberries Danish (that sounds so irresistible) and Wild Mushroom Fricassee Tart (this sounds tasty too).
But.
Madam was very well behaved.
I managed to slurp the eggs with the yolks intact and when they broke inside my mouth, yum! Creamy delicious yolks!
Your eggs 🥚 look delicious, dear friend. What are onsen eggs? I love ❤️ eggs as well. The quote and image is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe term "onsen" is Japanese for hot spring, so onsen egg is basically eggs that are low cooked hot spring water. In this case of course my eggs were cooked in a sous vide instead of a hot spring hah...hah...
DeleteThank you so much for this explanation. LOL on the hot spring! :)
DeleteGood morning! I know the feeling of the egg yoke breaking in your mouth, so heavenly! I love it too. And the last poster/quote comes in just very timely. I am now at my neighborhood Macdonald drinking an Americano and reading/replying to your posts. Already had my breakfast of chwee Kueh before walking to Mac to have my vitamin C.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Wah you get vitamin C from Mac LOL!
DeleteI was well behaved and disciplined last evening too when I just had oatmeals/cereal for dinner as I do not wish to have a heavy one. Have been having this for dinner over a few alternate evenings.
ReplyDeleteI used to do that - eat oatmeal. Not that I liked it but I thought it was good for weight loss hah..hah...
DeleteI love the presentation of the onsen eggs plus the looks are not deceiving, they taste as good as they look, no wonder halla holla is your favourite cafe.
ReplyDeleteThe onsen eggs were perfect and I enjoyed them.
DeleteYour onsen eggs look more delicious than soft boiled eggs. Yummy 😋
ReplyDeleteYes! Very nice to just slurp the whole thing into my mouth.
DeleteI like eggs too!
ReplyDeleteGood!
DeleteSo what was the price difference between these onsen eggs (fancier name...lol) and the soft-boiled eggs from Say Yes? Wuahahahaha! :D
ReplyDeleteTwo softboiled eggs at Say Yes cost RM3.00 and two onsen eggs at Hall Holla costs RM6.00. Double and ++ hah..hah...
